From Petzl: ASTRO and CANYON GUIDE harness safety alert: Replacement of the ventral D-ring

User feedback alerted us to premature wear of the screws on the gated ventral attachment point on ASTRO rope access harnesses manufactured before October 2023 (harnesses that were affected by our call for inspection in 2023, including CANYON GUIDE harnesses).

This wear can cause the ventral D-ring’s pin to release, and the attachment point to open, which could lead to serious injury or death. This is why we ask that you replace the metal D-ring and the screws on the gated ventral attachment point, upon receiving the replacement kit.

Excited to announce that we have now added KASK products to the shop inventory. Currently in stock are the Primero CSA, Primero CSA Air vented helmet, Zenith X2 Air MAX for larger heads, SuperPlazma HD and the Zenith X2 in pink for all those asking about pink safety helmets.

Starting 2026 off strong, consulting on some theatre maintenance, we oversaw a deep clean, lighting maintenance and restore, console improvements and much needed paperwork creation along with a CAD model and drawings updated for their client needs.

Swapping out some rescue ropes for the IATSE 212 Saddledome riggers rescue kit this week. Replacing some aged out ropes with new Petzl Axis 11mm, to go along with the ID and Jag system we helped implement a few years ago.
