✨💥 2025 ✨💥

2025 was a captivating year for Third Draft Theatre, featuring dozens of emerging and local artists and countless stories of fantasy, fairytale, and dreams.

💥 TDT’s “I Am Not Batman” by Marco Rameriz (winner of the 2024 Calgary One Act Play Festival!) made its comeback at the Fire & Foes Cabaret.

💥 TDT produced The Fire & Foes Cabaret! Featuring a variety of heroes and villains, and dozens of artists with new, bold, and fresh acts.

💥 TDT partnered with The Stargazer Initiative to share a special staged reading of a new episode of the podcast!

💥 TDT took Nathan Crockett’s The Other went to the Kelowna Fringe festival back in March, and took home Runner Up for Best Ensemble Performance at the festival!

💥 Rounding out the year, TDT performed a new staged reading of the Romantasy Project by Ali Grams at the Commonground Festival!

We can’t wait to share more fantasies, fairytales, and dreams with you in 2026!

📚 “Some Romantasy books that I really love are Outlander, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I used to be really obsessed with the Hunger Games as a teen!”

📚 Natasha says: “My favourite romantasy series is probably Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas! I also love anything by Emily Henry - not fantasy, but still. Horny.”

💖 Third Draft Theatre is proud to present our Goddess Arcana and Projection Artist Charlotte Hurdman.

📚 We asked Charlotte… what’s your favourite Romantasy novel?

“My favourite book ever is ‘This is How You Lose The Time War’ by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. It’s technically a science fiction novel, le***an enemies to lovers, and has the most beautiful poetic writing. I also really love the comic series ‘Lore Olympus’ by Rachel Smythe. It’s Greek Mythology, Hades and Persephone and is a beautiful series that delves into a lot of heavy topics’.
