I loved this piece so much I thought it deserved its own post. I took the reference pictures I used to paint this piece when a whole flock of them flew right through my backyard earlier in the spring. A few even stood still long enough to pose for my camera!

I pulled out this grizzly bear painting this week to rework and finally finish. I started it last year and abandoned it when the colours just weren’t working for me. I think it’s finally going in a direction I’m happy with! Second picture is where I left it last spring and I’ve now spent another 15 or so hours on it.
