We are excited to welcome abstract expressionist painter Karen Marki to the ArtMatch collection 🌸
Karen is interested in the juxtaposition of urban and natural environments. Her process involves layering several paintings onto the canvas, then marking up and peeling back layers like an excavation site until she finds balance between stillness and movement.
Like the tension of the water’s surface that often inspires her work, the soft finish of Karen’s paintings keeps the energy of her brush strokes contained… but just barely!
