The Littlest H***y Tonk TV presents: - "Me and the Old Promised Land". Country Music connoisseur , custodian of Canadiana, radio raconteur, travelling troubadour and sideman, Sean Burns is truly a h***y tonk renaissance man. You may recognize Burnsy from his work as Corb Lund’s bull fiddlin’ side man, his many years crooning in Canada’s dive bars or from his syndicated FM radio round up “Boots & Saddle”. I don’t know anyone who has done more for the preservation of Canadian Country music in this day and age, performing, broadcasting and archiving the faded songs of yesteryears forgotten stars. Sean brought us a Joe Firth & The Promised Land tune called “Me and The Old Promised Land” from his ambitious archival/revival album Lost Country (2023).
Recorded at 2025.

& The Littlest H***y Tonk TV present: , “Hill Folk”. Nick Shoulders is a born and bred Arkansan - and proud of it. With social awareness, a large knowledge of history of the area, and his heart full of love for the people - Nick within his songs and his stage performances showcases what the “Hill Folk” are all about. With the same melody as the traditional country song “Cowpoke”, “Hill Folk” by Nick is a tribute to the area of America often not seen in full for its beauty and diverse history. We were lucky to spend some time with Nick on an early chilly Calgary morning last July during Calgary Folk Festival on Prince’s Island - surrounded by one of the beautiful rivers that make up our history and the sporadic weather that makes up Calgary all year long. The Littlest H***y Tonk TV & present: “In on the Upswing” - solo edition. For us Canadians, Skinny has been a stalemate in the scene for a decades now - and remains one of Western Canada’s best pedal steel guitar players, even though he doesn’t play it often onstage anymore. With a unique songwriting style - Skinny’s latest work include emotive lyrics paired with fun and groovy melodies, which kind of sums up Skinny’s fun and introspective nature as human. Lethbridge Alberta’s (or LA) king of the vibe - we were lucky to catch up with our southern AB neighbour at this year’s Canmore Folk Fest. I’m sure we will catch up again with our dear friend and talent sooner than later. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, Canmore Folk Fest has created a family vibe - both among the musicians and among the fans - be sure to snag a fantastic time this August long weekend in this small mountain town with big music talent. The Littlest H***y Tonk TV & present: "Losing More" filmed in Canmore, AB at the 2025 Festival. Nicolette is a child of Vietnamese immigrants who grew up in Guelph, ON and has found a love of old school country music and she has been thriving at it. Don't let her petite form fool you because Nicolette has a BIG voice - soulful with just enough grit to match her heartfelt lyricism. backs Nicolette up in this stripped down version of this all too relatable love song about heartbreak from her 2024 album "The Long Way". Nicolette and the Nobodies when not stripped down also put on a helluva big time outlaw country show - not to be missed.
Also be sure not to miss 2026 Canmore Folk Festival, Aug 1-3, and experience music and mountains together.

The Littlest H***y Tonk & present: "Didn't Know". Nicolette and her partner in crime, show us how to h***y tonk with just a couple guitars, strong voice, and some poignant lyrics. Nicolette shows her love of vintage western both in her music and her clothes - and her songs align with the music of the time singing about timeless things like love, missing someone, and heartbreak, all in song form that makes you want to dance with those feelings. Thank you to Canmore Folk Festival for providing the Albertan Rocky Mountain backdrop and a festival that truly makes one feel like family - we recommend not skipping this little festival with big might August long weekend.

⁨⁩ and The Littlest H***y Tonk present: ⁨⁩ "Fool's Gold" recorded August 2025 at Canmore Folk Festival.

From the wilds of Canada's Yukon, The Lucky Ones are a prime example of the theory that isolation breeds creativity. In the land of the midnight sun, over 3,000 miles from the birthplace of Bluegrass music these fellas have carved out their very own signature sound all while showcasing their reverence for Bluegrass tradition. The Lucky Ones are mining their own musical gold about 125 years after the Klondike Gold Rush, trading that shovel and pan for fiddle and mandolin and we were lucky enough to capture a nugget of that in our Littlest H***y Tonk.

The Littlest H***y Tonk TV & present: "Makin' a Livin' (Not a Killin')". Filmed in Edmonton, AB in September 2025.

We met Leon by chance in Nashville just a week before we reunited in Edmonton for the first ever Down by the River Festival - and lucky for us all became fast friends. This tune especially reiterates the sentiment that a lot of us chasing our goals in this crazy industry feel, long days, late nights, lots of work for some times little reward. Leon has been grinding away on the road harder than most and we'd say making a livin' and killin' it. Touring is truly the hardest part of the music business and something we at The Littlest H***y Tonk also have lots of experience in - thank you Leon for summing up this experience for us all.
