L**h Kalamat

L**h began his journey as an artist over 40 years ago with poetry, industrial design and driftwood
sculptures.
Most recently however, L**h has incorporated the experience of his world travels and love of nature to showcase his new media and acrylic paintings.

Come see L**h and all the wonderful painters on Oct 24/25 at Triwood.

Artist Spotlight
Ùrsula Jungen

Ursula is a mountain girl who loves spending time in nature, from her native Alps to the Rocky Mountains and the Himalaya. Her artwork takes inspiration from the moods of early morning mountain light or sleeping under the stars.
Recently her work has transitioned from watercolour to liquid acrylics and mixed media. What remains constant in her work is the inspiration provided by her strong connection with nature.

Ruth Hill
Ruth’s love of photography is an asset to her paintings as she remains ever vigilant to those elements that would be a starting point from which to capture on canvas the essence of the photo.

Artist Spotlight
Terri Heinrich

Colour and mood take a starring role in Terri’s paintings, both in the subject, and in the surrounding negative space. Inspired by landscapes and nature, her paintings exhibit firm brush strokes and vivid colour, abstracting reality. The thick oil paint creates lush texture, adding dimension to each painting.

Patricia Gutierrez

Patricia paints in both oil an acrylic mediums. Sometimes she combines both! Although she studies realism, she loves to paint abstracts as well. Her artwork is a distillation of all she has learned.

Nicole’s subjects are diversified, they represent the natural world, animals and sometimes everyday objects or scenes painted in her own interpretative and whimsical semi-abstract way. Her work reflects happiness, joy and wonder through design and colours.

Sylvia Gamp
Sylvias love of nature and passion for the outdoors inspire her to paint. Whether walking, hiking or skiing, she is often moved by the landscape, the interplay of light and shadow, and how this affects color and reflections. Later in the studio, these moments are then translated into an interpretation of how she sees and feels the scene. By painting these moments, she hopes to evoke similar feelings of passion, awe and serenity in the viewer.

Ken Cudmore

Ken says “For me, the painting is not about ‘objects or things’, it is about feelings and beauty. It is more about what the colours will evoke in the viewer, the feeling, the mood.”
