A not-for-profit organization, CCPS’s mission is to encourage the growth and development of Calgary’s artists through exhibitions, workshops and the exchange of artistic knowledge.

Gloria paints primarily in oil of familiar subjects in her surroundings including landscapes, still life, figures and portraits; whatever pulls those strings in her heart.

Violette Clemente

Violette’s travels are a great source of inspiration for her art as are the many memories of her youth living in France and many tropical countries. Reliving these times and places, capturing those sensations and to be able to share them visually is what motivates her to paint.

Artist spotlight
Sandy Cheung

Her work explores the beauty of nature through abstraction. Organic patterns and colourful brushstrokes are her visual language to convey emotions and to communicate with the outside world. Inspired by the Rockies, her travels and memories, Sandy has created abstract landscapes and atmosphere through experimentation with paint, exploration of colour and an imagination of nature.

Doris Sidlick

A native Albertan, Doris’ artistic style is best described as “colorist”. She loves painting the urban landscape, and her painting inspirations come from living in beautiful Calgary, as well as her interest in and love of travel.

Patricia Salat

Patricia is an acrylic and mixed media visual artist, creating expressive depictions of the landscape and the world around us, both abstractedly and representational. Using mixed materials on various substrates she invites us to view her unique perspective, as she translates the essence and imperfections of our surroundings.
