What a stellar start to the dance year for all our WSHD dancers this fall!

From outdoor highland games and indoor competitions, to stunning performances, dance exams, and travelling to Nova Scotia for the SDTA Scholarships: our dancers did it all, and with smiles on their faces!

We look forward to getting back to working hard, setting goals and learning new things when classes return on January 8th ❤️💜

2 fantastic performances at and .farmersmarket.yyc in addition to 5 full days of dance camp!

Our dancers' learned a lot, worked hard and set goals for the dance year. They also had lots of fun! 🥳

We are very excited to have the Wilson School of Highland Dance joining us this Thursday Aug 25 at the Dalhousie Farmers Market at 4:30pm. Also, after the dance performance we will be joined by our youngest busker, Leon, playing the drums.

Active for over 30 years in NW Calgary, the Wilson School of Highland Dance (WSHD) provides an opportunity for individuals who seek to learn and perform the traditional dances of Scotland while encouraging awareness and appreciation of technique, athleticism and creativity.

They offer a warm and positive environment to foster the growth that all dancers want and need. Whether your focus is technique, competition, and travel, or you’re just looking for a new way to get active, you can find it with them and this traditional dance style.

The WSHD welcomes all levels of experience and offers competitive, performative and recreational opportunities that challenge and enhance the diverse abilities of our dancers.

2022 Saskatoon Dance Camp ✔️

New goals created and met, new steps and dances learned, and lots of memories made, especially at the family ceilidh! 🥳

Last weekend wrapped up our spring long marathon of competitions, including both our provincial championships! ❤️

WSHD is sending 6 Provincial representatives to with many other WSHD dancers joining them on the biggest stage highland dancing has to offer!

It’s time to put in the work at home dancers, as independent practicing will ensure you are confident on stage so you can focus on having fun throughout the week! 🥳
