In my newest painting, I wanted to capture that quiet winter moment on the Alberta foothills: resilient hay bales standing out against the snow, a lone cowboy riding with his loyal dog, and the Rocky Mountains keeping silent watch in the distance.

I’ve just submitted my application to the 2026 Calgary Stampede Art Show (Western Oasis) with pieces like this one, and the jury decides in just one week.
