Inspired by a romantic day in Cinque Terre, Italy, “Five Lands, Many Adventures” explores how observation and emotion intertwine to create lasting memories. The vibrant architecture anchors the viewer in a recognizable setting, while the playful sprays and drips guide the eye toward the expressive sea and iridescent skies. This work also represents my own artistic adventure, as I experimented with new textures and techniques, while incorporating the translucent qualities of my ocean-inspired resin practice. I invite viewers to slow down, discover the details, both subtle and bold, and reflect on their own connections to adventure and shared experiences.

A special moment in my life - one of 70 featured artists at the Headwaters 30th Anniversary Show at the Alton Mill. Being recognized amongst such a talented group of Canadian artists is such an honour. In a world where all we seem to do is stare at screens and get robots to find us short cuts and stress about things that don’t matter, painting is my form of meditation. This experience has made me confident to start venturing more into my work with painting, and I’m excited for more to come.
