I showed Avery the ghost piano and immediately learned the most dangerous thing you can give us is an instrument that plays itself. 🎹👻

One minute we’re admiring old piano rolls, the next we’re looking for 99 Bottles of Beer and trying to turn the shop into karaoke night.

No musical talent required. Perfect for us. 😆

Jeremiah’s first truck basically paid him to take it home. 😂 He bought a ’78 Toyota pickup for $150, then found $180 in change hidden inside it!

Meanwhile, my first car was an ’84 Volkswagen Rabbit diesel with about 400,000 km and roughly enough power to lose a race against a loaded semi. 🚗💨 I still loved that thing though...

Getting the truck home should have been the easy part.

Instead, we had a tight trailer fit, a missing hitch pin, a three-hour drive back to Barriere, and Big Donny casually sending me over to offer $40,000 cash for a Mustang Fastback. 👀

This is why I should stop agreeing to “quick adventures” with Big Donny...

Big Donny promised me a quick road trip...

Six hours later, we were in Williams Lake picking up a damaged truck, towing a trailer, dealing with a limo, and somehow I was being told I might have to drive home with half a windshield?! 😅

I’m not afraid of bees. I’m afraid of losing track of one inside my Explorer while I’m driving. 🐝😅

The second it landed in my lap, all dignity went out the window. Yes, I was being a bit of a n***y... and yes, I’m completely fine with that.

At least the little bastard finally flew away.

Jeremiah just gave me the worst kind of information: the Viper V10 is actually small enough to fit in a bunch of these projects. 😳

Now I’m thinking we just keep moving it from car to car whenever we get bored. Small-block Chevy one week, Viper V10 the next. Completely unnecessary, which is exactly why I like it. 🐍

Big Donny just needed his trailer back.

Somehow that turned into an all-day mission to unload an entire building without tipping it over. 😅

Tow trucks, constant measuring, questionable angles, and a lot of yelling “WHOA” while everyone had a different definition of level.

Just another simple job at the compound.

Jeremiah got the old player piano working, and now the compound has its own honky-tonk soundtrack. 🎹

The thing still reads piano rolls, apparently you can even buy modern songs for it, and I’ve already figured out the most important feature: I can sit there and pretend I’m playing. 😂

Now I just need Jeremiah on banjo and we’ve got ourselves a Hillbilly band...

Ugly Truckling is finally inspected, insured, registered, and officially street legal. 🚛✅

The Council of Mechanics still isn’t convinced it belongs on the road, but after all the repairs, paperwork, and arguments, I finally get to take the ugliest truck on Earth out properly. Barriere Auto & Truck Tow

For me, this feels like getting my license for the first time. 😅

Ugly Truckling made the whole drive back to the compound... then died the second we pulled in. 🔧😬

Jeremiah thinks we may be looking at an injection pump issue, but first he has to check the oil by reaching between a hot turbo and exhaust pipe like he’s playing Operation with his own hand. 🔥

At least it ran good right up until it didn’t.
