The building was originally established in 1988 as The Music Gym and was a mainstay as a rehearsal and recording studio for Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton bands. In 2006 the building underwent a complete renovation to establish it as a professional music production fac

ility in the area and to continue the legacy of producing great local talent. In 2008 B Town Sound was named Recording Studio of the Year at the Hamilton Music Awards in only its first year of operation. Host Events

We have had the pleasure of hosting numerous events for businesses, art galleries, silent auctions, cocktail parties, CD release parties, and video productions. We are able to provide a cash bar with wine, beer and specialty drinks, hors d’oeuvres, decor, and live entertainment. Please contact us for a walk through of our venue. This will definitely be a different event location than anywhere else you may find. Amenities:

The Live Room is where the studio sets itself apart from most. It is 22 ft wide, 32 ft long, and has 15.5 ft ceilings. Great for bands or DJs. PA equipment provided. Large Hallway for buffets and bar

Calling all solo, duo, or music groups, aged 13-19 in Burlington!

We are proud to be Sponsors for the inaugural Ignite Music Competition on May 22. Deadline - May 1.

Winners Receive:

*8 hour recording session

*Performance time slot at Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival .fest

*Scholarship opportunity for Humber College’s Music Program

*All bands receive 2 hours of rehearsal time

Ignite is the Burlington Lions Club’s youth music competition and artist development pathway designed to identify, support, and elevate the next generation of local musicians.

Through live performance, professional mentorship, and real community-stage experience, Ignite provides young artists with the opportunity to grow their craft, build confidence, and perform in a professionally produced showcase environment.
The program culminates in Music Hall: IGNITE, where on May 22, finalists perform in a concert-style setting complete with full lighting and sound production. The winning performer or group earns a prize package including a featured performance slot on the Burlington’s Lakeshore Arts & Music Festival Stage on June 20th weekend.

Great afternoon at Rik’s house in Burlington listening to his stories, music, and chatting over lunch that he kindly provided for us :)
