MUSIC LESSONS

To further support the development of music, in September 2017 we will be offering music lessons at The Milton Tutoring Centre. We will teach voice, piano, guitar and ukulele, with the potential of expanding to other instruments as interest grows. Private and group lessons (minimum of 6 students required) are available, catering to different learning styles. Group lessons provide co

nfidence playing for others in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere. It allows the students to also learn from their peers while exposing them to different styles of music. There are also possibilities of performing in our concerts, opening for professional musicians as part of our monthly concert series! ACOUSTIC CONCERTS

“Acoustic Blend Café” is an organization hosting monthly acoustic music concerts that have been operating in the Hamilton area since 2009. In 2016, we expanded the concept by starting a concert series in Milton. The operating year runs from October through to May, producing 6 - 7 concerts each series. The 2.5 hour concerts are offered in a relaxed, coffee house setting with light refreshments, feature an “open mic” to start, then showcase local musical talent from any genre, the only condition being that they are acoustic in nature. The performers come from a variety of backgrounds so that each concert features a different style of music. Our goal is to provide an affordable venue for progressing and emerging talent to perform, and to broaden the Canadian music scene in a culture that is seeing live music venues steadily closing.

Concert Cancellations - It's with a heavy heart that I write this newsletter today. Over the past several months in the face of the pandemic, I've tried to breathe unique life into a unique concert series. Unfortunately, the struggle to keep regular performances running has become a losing battle. Due to the inconsistency of performer availability, coupled with low ticket sales, we cannot continue at this time. - https://mailchi.mp/9c1d8a7d0eaa/10th-anniversary-season-at-acoustic-blend-cafe-4267394

Jacob Moon is known for his giftedness as a singer,
songwriter of award-winning pop and folk songs. He is also a
master of the art of ‘live looping’, a performance style where
he records what he’s playing in real time and layers sound on
sound to make one guitar sound like an orchestra.
Jacob Moon is one of two featured performers you can hear on Saturday, October 17. Tickets can be found at acousticblendcafe.com/concerts
