The Art of Belly Dance was started in June of 2010 in Burlington Ontario By Rebecca "Bekkhild" Flook. We offer a warm and friendly environment for anyone wanting to learn Bellydance or continue their practice of this beautiful dance.

A wonderful piece on the history, meaning and traditions of the different pieces that Madonna wore to the VMAs and if it’s actually cultural appropriation. Sharing from a beautiful, strong woman, who happens to be one of my most favourite dancer, Amel Tafsout. I had a pleasure of having Amel as a teacher at a conference many years ago and those classes were some of my most favourite classes that I have ever taken. She is a constant source of knowledge for me. Thank you for posting this article Amel! It was a great read and very informative
