ov Workshops, Adult Acting Summer workshops as well as online private coaching for all ages & learning levels. Summer classes run for 8 weeks, on weeknights. Currently, we are located at the Mountain Side Recreational Centre in the amazing Community Room #1. All classes are built on the foundation of improvisation & celebrating the courage it takes to try something out of our comfort zones. Girls Club (9-12 yrs) begins with improv games to create self confidence, connection & inclusivity. Then we jump into the weekly theme, followed by "share circle" at break where we invent our "secret club password". Then we take a break from performing and make a meaningful arts & craft project to take home to remind us we're enough. The goal is always to promote self empowerment, real friendships, loads of laughs and a creative place where they feel they belong. "Ohhhh, why do the 2 hours go so fast?!" overheard by 2 members not wanting to leave....
Tween/Teen Acting & Improv Classes (11-15 yrs):
This class mirrors it's students and is extraordinary! This age range is special and should be treated as such! We have a load of laughs as we make new friends and release the week's stress while being reminded we are enough. We strengthen our soft skills using improv games tailored towards building unity, trust, self esteem, listening to our instincts and communication/presentation skills. ALL skills necessary to use in and out of the classroom. These students are reminded they CANNOT fail as long as they try. Everyone has a story & often just requires an opportunity to showcase it in their own way. Build some character as well as pretend to be one!lol!
