You're invited to Trevlig Resa (Bon Voyage), Myriad Ensemble's Sweden Send-Off Concert on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 7:00PM taking place at Port Nelson United Church in Burlington—a joyful evening of music and celebration as we prepare to represent Burlington (and Canada!) at the 2026 World Choir Games in Helsingborg, Sweden.

This special performance will showcase the repertoire we will bring to competition, including new repertoire like Iesous ahatonnia', and audience favourites from our recent Spellbound concert like Spellbound, Father Thunder, and The Girl With the Numbers. Join us for one last opportunity to experience these powerful works before we take them to the international stage.

As we embark on this exciting journey, we invite our community to be part of the adventure.

A suggested admission donation of $25 is requested, with all proceeds supporting our travel and competition expenses. Additional donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt.

Through this concert and our broader fundraising efforts, Myriad Ensemble is working toward a goal of raising $30,000 to help make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity possible.

The countdown to ✨Spellbound✨ is officially on!

This Saturday, we make our inaugural mainstage debut at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre and less than 80 tickets remain for this milestone performance.

Spellbound: In Search of Reclaimed Light bids us to consider light not as something constant, but as something we search for, protect, rediscover, and create for one another by finding the light within ourselves. The music mirrors the waves of life's trials and triumphs - memory, wonder, grief, power, ritual, and renewal - serving as a reminder that beauty is often found not in certainty, but in the act of seeking.

On this sunny Victoria Day, we’re thrilled to share the release of the official music video for Fire by Katerina Gimon, performed by Myriad Ensemble. This work is the second movement from Katerina Gimon's Elements, that reimagines the four classical elements; Earth, Air, Fire, and Water through abstract soundscapes.

A visceral exploration of intensity, motion, and transformation, Fire blazes to life in this striking new visual collaboration—capturing the work’s rhythmic energy and raw emotional power in vivid detail.

Whether you’re discovering Fire for the first time or revisiting the work anew, we hope this visual experience draws you deeper into Gimon’s electrifying sound world.

This year, through the burlingtonfoundation, Ralph and Susan Sgro developed the Myriad Ensemble Choral Catalyst Fund in honour of their daughter Lindsay. As part of this fund, a new founder’s award was created, the Spirit of Myriad.

A central initiative of this fund, the Spirit of Myriad Award is a living tribute - one that honours Lindsay’s legacy by recognizing Myriad members who embody leadership, service, and artistic integrity, while empowering them to actively shape Myriad’s future. Each winner will have the opportunity to decide where a portion of the fund is dedicated to next season whether it be library, general operations, guest musicians, or something else entirely.
