🎉 Thank You, Buchaneers! 🎉
From marshmallows to miners’ trails, karaoke to comedy, rock shows to heritage walks—Lucky Strike Festival 2025 was unforgettable.
None of it would’ve been possible without the heart and hard work of so many. A massive THANK YOU to:
🔴 Stephanie Noftle & the Buchans Recreation Committee (BRC) – The backbone of this festival. Stephanie’s tireless efforts, along with the support and cooperation of the BRC team (esp Maggie, Lorna, Melissa, Randilyn), helped bring this event to life with energy, creativity, and community spirit.
🔴 Steven Clarke – Provided the sound and setup for much of the weekend, going above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, far beyond the call of duty.
🔴 Mayor Brian Fowlow – for continued leadership, guidance and volunteering especially at Matty’s March
🔴 Gerald Bursey – Not just a Community Sponsor representative, but a hands-on volunteer from start to finish. From re-stocking and re-re-stocking the bar to bartending to manning the grill, your help throughout the weekend did not go unnoticed and was sincerely appreciated.

📸 This year, we built something more than an event—we built momentum.
• Matty’s March reconnected us with the land, mining stories, and breathtaking views.
• Heritage Night brought laughter, pride, and community voices.
• Comedy and Dance provided a great laugh and a relaxing, fun evening with a good dance after.
• Great food all weekend, with a special shoutout to Boardwalk Bistro for staying open late to feed the crowd.
And the best part? You.
Your participation, ideas, and energy shape the future of Lucky Strike Festival and Buchans as a whole! This isn’t just a summer event—it’s a movement toward our Buchans Centennial in 2027, and a revitalization of heritage, recreation, and pride in our community.
Stay tuned for more!!!
On behalf of everyone involved—thank you. Let’s keep building. See you next year!
