🍫🍰 Went out for dessert… but when it’s at Juliette & Chocolat, it changes everything! 😍
What was supposed to be a simple little dessert outing turned into a full chocolate experience. 😂🤎 The flavours, the presentation, and of course… all that chocolate! 🍫✨
Sometimes you just need to go out, enjoy something sweet and treat yourself a little. ❤️

💅💙 My first attempt at making my own press-on nails… Eeyore edition! 🫏✨
I decided to challenge myself and create everything myself — choosing the colours, painting the designs, adding a little sparkle and some rhinestones. 🎨✨
Of course, I had to add Eeyore because he makes this blue set even cuter! 💙😂
They may not be perfect, but they’re hand-painted, made by me, and I had so much fun creating them! And now my mind is already thinking about the next design… 👀💅

🎂💙 Joshua’s First Birthday — made with love and covered by God’s grace. 🙏❤️
Is it a perfect cake? Definitely not. 😂 But as a mom of three, it was the least I could do to make this precious milestone as homemade and meaningful as possible.
And I certainly didn’t do it alone. ❤️ Your sisters, Daddy and your Popo were all there helping to bring everything together. From the cake and cookies to all the little Winnie the Pooh details — every part was prepared with love for you. 🍯🐻🎂
At the end of the day, perfection didn’t matter, because the day itself was perfect. 🥹 We celebrated your very first birthday surrounded by people who love you here in Canada, and my heart was simply full of gratitude.
Joshua, your name reminds me of strength, courage and faith in God, and that is my prayer for you as you grow. 🙏 May you always know that you are loved by your family, but above all, deeply loved by God. ❤️
One of the little cookies on your table carried a verse that means so much:
“For this child I prayed.” — 1 Samuel 1:27 🙏🥹
And what a blessing it is to watch you grow.
One day when you look back at these pictures, I hope you won’t see whether Mommy’s cake was perfect. 😂 I hope you’ll see the hands that helped, the family that gathered, the love that surrounded you, and God’s goodness through it all. ❤️

🇲🇺❤️ A longer video today… because there was simply too much to share! 😋
We were invited to a friend’s place, and you know how we Mauritians are… 😂 we don’t just show up, eat and leave — we love to participate in the preparation too!
Before leaving home, I prepared banana curry/safran and pumpkin 🍌🎃 to bring along.
Once we arrived, the cooking continued with a delicious jackfruit curry prepared on the spot. 🌿🥘 And naturally, everyone gathered around — helping, chatting, laughing and enjoying the moment together.
That’s something I truly love about our Mauritian culture. 🇲🇺❤️ The gathering doesn’t begin when the food reaches the table — it begins in the kitchen.
Everyone brings something, everyone lends a hand, and preparing the meal together becomes part of the beautiful memories we create. 🥰
So yes… it’s a long video! 😂 But between the food, the laughter and the good company, there was just too much to leave out.

🇲🇺❤️ Une vidéo un peu plus longue aujourd’hui… parce qu’il y avait tout simplement trop de belles choses à partager ! 😋
Nous étions invités chez des amis, mais vous savez comment nous sommes, nous les Mauriciens… 😂 on ne vient pas simplement pour manger — on aime aussi participer à la préparation !
Avant de partir de chez moi, j’avais préparé un curry/safran de banane ainsi que du giraumon 🍌🎃 pour apporter avec nous.
Une fois sur place, la cuisine a continué avec un délicieux curry de jacque préparé sur place. 🌿🥘 Et naturellement, tout le monde s’est retrouvé autour de la cuisine — à aider, discuter, rire et profiter du moment ensemble.
C’est quelque chose que j’aime particulièrement dans notre culture mauricienne. 🇲🇺❤️ Le partage ne commence pas lorsque les plats arrivent à table… il commence dans la cuisine !
Chacun apporte quelque chose, chacun met la main à la pâte, et la préparation du repas devient elle-même un beau souvenir. 🥰
Alors oui… la vidéo est un peu longue ! 😂 Mais entre la bonne cuisine, les rires et les beaux moments entre amis, il y avait beaucoup trop à partager.

Some dishes don’t need to be fancy to be special. 🥰 Today I’m making Dal Pitta my way — a comforting Mauritian dish that’s simple, filling and full of flavour.
Of course, every family has their own way of preparing it, and this is the version we love at home. 👩‍🍳❤️ That’s what I love about cooking — we take the recipes we know and add our own little touch to them.
