Tickets are now on sale for our upcoming production of Bad Hats Theatre’s Peter Pan, created with tremendous support from our production partners at the Thousand Islands Playhouse. Head over to https://www.showpass.com/2026-slc-peter-pan (🔗 in bio) to book your trip to Neverland!

Bad Hats Theatre’s Peter Pan is an adventurous, joyful musical adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic story. Mr. Smee finds a copy of Peter Pan and begins to read about the boy who would never grow up. Through the magic of theatre, Mr. Smee and the audience are quickly transported to the Darlings’ house in London, where Wendy, John, and Michael meet the mysterious, mischievous Peter Pan. Peter and Tinkerbell help the Darlings fly to Neverland, where they adventure with the Lost Boys, go toe-to-toe with pirates, and meet the most villainous villain of them all—Captain James Hook! Fast-paced and funny, Peter Pan will delight and thrill the young and young-at-heart.

As we return to the studios this fall, we want to take a moment to honour the memory of one of our professors, Patrick Burwell, who passed away in June.

The loss of Patrick has greatly affected the many lives he impacted during his time at SLC. Patrick had an energy that made the people around him strive to become the best versions of themselves. He attacked life with loyalty, honesty, and humour, which he consistently brought into his time here at SLC.

Patrick was an educator at heart. His dedication to making us better artists was relentless, but even stronger was his desire to make everyone who passed through his classroom a better person. He taught us as much about life as he did our craft. He strived for us not only to be well-informed artists but also well informed about the world in which we live.

Patrick always fought for the best for his students, and he encouraged us to do the same. Lessons on how to stand up for yourself were as important, if not more so, than lessons on what vowel modifications to use in a song. These lessons stick in the hearts of SLC students and alum, and we will carry Patrick’s teachings with us as we venture out into the world.
