Vintage Mid-Century Italian Empoli Amethyst Glass Vase / Decanter Base (c. 1960s–1970s)

Stunning mid-century modern Italian art glass piece from the renowned Empoli glassmaking region in Tuscany, Italy.

Features a deep, vibrant amethyst purple integral glass batch with a sharp geometric "pineapple" diamond-point relief texture, topped with a spiral-ribbed optic neck and a flared rolled lip.

Details & Collector Info:
Origin: Empoli region, Tuscany, Italy (c. 1960s–1970s)
Style: Mid-Century Modern Italian pressed art glass
Color: Deep integral amethyst purple (true pot-dyed glass, not flashed or painted)
Pattern: Diamond Point / Pineapple relief with spiral optic neck
Dimensions:
Height: Approx. 32 cm (12.6")
Base Width: Approx. 7.2 cm
Neck Length: 7 cm
Mouth Diameter: ~3 cm outer / ~2 cm inner opening

Condition & Authenticity:
Excellent vintage condition with rich color saturation and brilliant light reflection.

Authentic two-piece molded seam construction with a smooth, concave base typical of period Tuscan glass.
While the specific manufacturing glasshouse is unattributed, prominent period distributors such as D. Rossini & Sons are likely candidates. Additional close-up photos of the base, mold seams, and rim are available upon request to clearly demonstrate age and period authenticity.

Note: Listing is for the decanter base/vase only (stopper not included). Displays beautifully as a standalone MCM statement piece, window accent, or vase for dried florals.

WE’RE SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that Heidillium has officially been added to the May 9 lineup at Social Local 65.

This show was already going to be something special with Tim Vantol (Netherlands) and Rob Moir bringing their international touring acoustic sets to Brockville — but adding one of our favourite local artists to open the night makes this feel even more like the perfect Social Local show.

If you know, you know.

Heidillium has become a genuine local favourite around Brockville’s music and arts community, and we honestly couldn’t imagine a better fit for this room and this atmosphere.

Small audience.
