📣 REMINDER 📣 The deadline to submit nominations for the Carleton North Sports Wall of Recognition 🤸‍♀️🏒🏀⚾️ is 8am on Monday, May 29/2023‼

Applications can be dropped off in a sealed envelope to the Town Office located on 19 Station Rd. OR by emailing [email protected]

The Carleton North area has a long and storied history of outstanding achievement in sports and recreation. There are many Builders (Owners, Managers, Coaches, Officials, Volunteers), Athletes, and Teams who have made significant contributions and advancements to sport and recreation, and we want to recognize their commitment, through a permanent display at the Northern Carleton Recreation Centre (NCRC).

It's Sneak Peek Monday 👀 #6 !!!

Today's Feature ➡ The Gymnastic Side 🤸

The new gymnastics facility will be one of the best equipped gyms in all of Atlantic Canada, complete with inground foam pits and inground trampolines. River Valley Gymnastics Inc will offer many programs for all ages and abilities, from 18 months old to 80 years old, from recreational to competitive, there is a program to meet the needs and goals of everyone. 🙌

whether you are attending one of the many events RVG will be hosting, or looking for organized classes in recreational or competitive programs, or coming to play and explore in one of the open gym options, or booking a fliptastic birthday party 🎈, or perhaps spending a PD day with us or even a week long summer camp, you are guaranteed to have an amazing time and learn lots of cool tricks in a supportive, fun and safe environment!

Today's Feature ➡ The NCRC Seating 🪑

Have you heard of our Adopt a Seat Fundraiser?? Our Adopt a Seat Fundraiser is a long lasting way to leave YOUR mark at the NCRC facility. Adopt a seat and personalize it in honor of a loved one, or have an individual of family name recognized!

Some of the seat available for adoption will be in the upper level of the NCRC with half facing the gymnasium side, and the other half facing the gymnastic side. There are still seats available, be sure to downloads to registration form, fill it out and submit back to the District of Carleton North Recreation office located at the Northern Carleton Civic Centre to secure your seat today!

We are back with Sneak Peek Monday👀 #4!!

This week’s feature ➡ The Walking Track 🚶‍♀️👟

This track will be perfect for those who want to beat the heat in the summertime or stay warm in the winter. Whether you are partaking in a leisurely morning walk or training in track and field, the walking track is the spot for you!

The track is a total of 172 meters long📏. Therefore, 1Km = 5.8 Laps!

Today's Feature ➡ The Rock Climbing Room 🧗

One of the Rockin' Rooms in our new facility is the Rock Climbing Room! Featuring a 15-Feet Tall Bouldering Wall AND a Top Rope Wall, this room has everything you need to either start your rock climbing adventure or to practice your climbing skills! 🧗‍♂️🪨

With the Bouldering wall measuring at approximately 800 square feet, and the Top Wall approximately 1200 square feet this room will have something for any level of climber!!

With a full kitchen👩‍🍳 attached, residents will have the opportunity to rent the Multi-Purpose room for meetings, parties, events, and more! Whether you want to participate in weekly classes/sessions or need a place to host, this space can be used for just about anything. Located right off the main entrance of the building, with plenty of natural lighting☀️, be sure to keep the NCRC Multi-Purpose Room in mind when booking spaces this summer/ fall! 📅

Its been 10 months since the start of construction 🔧👩‍🔧of the new NCRC facility 🏣 . Crews have been working very hard, to keep on schedule of having the NCRC open in early summer ☀️ barring any construction delays or building/equipment supply issues.

Whether you are a basketball player ⛹️‍♀️, pickleball enthusiast , volleyball player,🤾‍♀️ or someone looking to try a new sport🧍‍♂️, our 106' by 65' FIBA-regulated gymnasium is the place for you!!!

At any one time, the gym can be used for one full basketball🏀 court, 2 cross-court basketball 🏀 courts, 4 badminton 🏸 courts, 4 pickleball 🏓 courts, OR 1 volleyball🏐 court as well as feature anchored nets for Futsal ⚽️(indoor soccer on a hard surface/gymnasium floor)
