We are very exited to announce this year the the City of Brantford has partnered with us to provide free, yes FREE! transit rides during the 4 days of the Festival. The free public transit rides are a very simple process. Purchase a passport during a presale, or at any of our Village venues and present your passport when you get on a city bus to move from venue to venue.

Users can also download the City of Brantford BT Connect App by following the directions in the Transit picture.

In addition to the free transit rides, the City has been using a new app which can allow transit riders (all year long) to help plan their routes, timing for the journey etc. The app can be found at:

There is a web version or you can download the app to you phone! TransitApp is also in use worldwide, so it's versatility can be used if you are planning a trip to towns and cities who have also signed on to this program. And there is a lot of integration all over the world!

Thank you to our City Council, CAO, and Transit and Fleet Services for helping us with this 1 year pilot program!

And this program is meant to help compliment our existing FREE shuttle service which has 3 buses that run on 3 routes during the Festival. Please consider taking public transit or our shuttle service to help with traffic congestion and parking around our venues. An consider it part of the Villages adventure!

Yesterday we celebrated Canada Day. The day started out with the Citizenship Ceremony at the Boys and Girls Club.

Our Ambassadors were there to represent our Festival, and to greet and welcome our new Canadians.

But, we also wanted to acknowledge and thank the Organizers of the Brantford Canada Day Festival! A year of planning for this day and Mother Nature changed things in a beat.

Some quick thinking, lots of dedicated volunteers and a great Safety plan meant everyone remained safe. But, the remainder if the day had to be cancelled.

This hard working team, no doubt, had a lot of clean up last night and today, beginning at 5pm the carnival will happen the at 10pm the Fireworks show will go on! Here is their announcement:

CANADA DAY PROGRAMMING UPDATE #3

We sincerely appreciate the public’s understanding that to protect public safety, last night’s planned Canada Day programming had to be rescheduled. Post storm park clean-up continues today in advance of rescheduling some of yesterday’s programming, including the Carnival, which will be open from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. this evening followed by the Fireworks Display at 10 p.m.

Unfortunately, Finger Eleven has another commitment tonight and will not be performing. Again, we sincerely appreciate the public’s understanding, and we hope many of you can join us in tonight’s rescheduled celebrations.
