We're excited to announce our first ever Violin Program at the Brandon Public Library. This program will start running weekly, starting on Friday March 6th. There will be two groups: ages 3 to 6 from 4:15 to 5 PM, and ages 7 plus from 5 to 5:45 PM. Beginners are welcome. Signup is required, and there is no cost. Our instructor will be Rob Richardson. This program was made possible by a donation from Dr. Lynne Whidden. Please email [email protected], call 204-727-6648, or stop in at the Downtown Branch to register or for more information.
Mr. Richardson is the Director of the Suzuki Talent Education Program at Brandon University’s Eckhardt-Grammatté Conservatory of Music, where he maintains an extensive studio of violinists and violists and conducts string orchestras and coaches chamber music. Robert is very active as a teacher/conductor at Suzuki workshops, Summer Institutes, and Canadian music festivals throughout North America and beyond. Robert regularly performs on both violin and viola in numerous chamber ensembles, including the Brandon Chamber Players, of which he is a founding member.
