Ever feel like the whole city is moving faster than you are?

Toronto has a way of making everything feel urgent, people rushing, traffic moving, somewhere to be, something to do.

But sometimes, you need to slow down long enough to actually see the city you’re moving through.

Not every moment needs to be a race. Sometimes, just walk… look around… and take it all in. 🏙️

I owe Kingston an apology 😂

I had always treated it like one of those Ontario cities you pass through on your way somewhere else. Turns out, I was seriously underestimating it.

Historic streets, the waterfront, the SS Keewatin, Fort Henry and somehow we tried to squeeze everything into ONE day.

That was the mistake.

Kingston isn’t a “stop for a few hours” kind of city. Next time, I’m staying longer.

But I know the Kingston people are going to tell me we barely scratched the surface 😂

So tell me: what’s the ONE place in Kingston we should’ve visited?

I stopped at Flower City in Brampton and seeing this many kids playing soccer got me thinking.

Canada is putting money into getting more young people involved in sport, especially as the country builds on the excitement around soccer. 🇨🇦⚽

But there’s another side to the story.

Registration, equipment, travel, academies, competitive teams… the deeper a child goes into organized sport, the more expensive that dream can become.

Canada’s own Future of Sport Commission has raised concerns about the growing “pay-to-play” system and the financial barriers families face.

So I’m curious especially from parents who have actually been through this:

Is competitive youth sport in Canada genuinely developing the next generation, or are too many parents paying heavily for the dream of their child “going pro”?

I want to hear from the parents, coaches and former players on this one. 👇

This storefront caught my attention while walking along Queen Street West 👀🌿

📍 The Hunny Pot Cannabis Co. 198 Queen St W, Toronto 🇨🇦

This location made history in 2019 as Toronto’s first legal cannabis store.

Since Canada legalized recreational cannabis in 2018, the industry has grown into a major legal market creating businesses, jobs and tax revenue.

But here’s the real question: Has legal cannabis been good for Canada’s economy, or has it created more problems than benefits? 🤔

Toronto keeps changing, but some buildings have seen it all. 🏙️

Surrounded by glass towers and a city constantly rebuilding itself, this piece of old Toronto is still standing holding onto a story most people walk right past.

Sometimes the best way to see a city is to look at what it refused to replace.

Everyone throws a coin into Rome’s Trevi Fountain… but have you ever wondered what happens to all that money? 👀🇮🇹

Thousands of euros are tossed into the fountain every day, adding up to more than €1 million a year.

And this is the part most tourists never see: the coins are collected and donated to Caritas, supporting charitable and social programs in Rome.

I came for the famous Trevi Fountain view. I left more interested in what happens after everyone takes their pictures and walks away.

Be honest, before seeing this, where did you think all the money went? 😂

Paris… without leaving Ontario? 🇨🇦👀

I spent the day wandering through Paris, Ontario from the historic streets and Wincey Mills to the Grand River and I can see why people keep recommending this little town.

It’s calm, walkable, scenic… and definitely has that small-town escape feel.

Would you actually make the trip to Paris, Ontario for a day out, or is it overhyped? 👇🏾

You might drive past this place in Brampton and never realize how much happens inside. 🇨🇦

It’s not just a place to borrow books, people come here to study, work, connect, access community services, and simply spend time.

One of those everyday things about life in Canada that you may not really notice until you see it for yourself.
