Brampton Rising Stars 2025 Shines Spotlight on Youth Talent – 9-Year-Old Wins Big at The Rose Theatre
Brampton, ON – August 23, 2025 – The Rose Theatre was filled with excitement on Saturday evening as the community came together for the second annual Brampton Rising Stars (BRS) talent show. After an unforgettable evening of performances, 9-year-old Zlata Barchuk emerged as the winner, her angelic voice captivating judges and leaving the audience in awe.
The competition featured 10 remarkable contestants, each showcasing their unique gifts. Mary KC earned first runner-up, while the VA Dance Group took second runner-up.
Other standout performers included Metro Saint-Phard, Yuliya Kaplun, Delaine Pereira, Sahana Aiyer, Vasha Sanker, Samidh Shirke, Sahana Sai Vijaykumar, and Resendie Ruwansa
The event drew a strong show of support from city leaders, including Mayor Patrick Brown, council members, and Members of Parliament, emphasizing the city’s commitment to investing in youth empowerment and cultural expression.
“We are grateful for the support the city and community have given Brampton Rising Star,” said H.E. Reverend Blessing Ajayi, Founder and executive producer of Brampton Rising Stars and CEO of Black Community Canada Television. “Our mission is not only to entertain, but to provide a platform where young people can develop their talents, build confidence, and inspire others.”
Brampton Rising Stars is quickly becoming a cornerstone of the city’s cultural calendar, creating opportunities for youth ages 5-30 to showcase their skills. To sustain and grow this vision, the program is now seeking more financial sponsorships and community partnerships to expand its reach and impact.
Registration for Season 3 opens on September 1st, 2025.
