For mowing, it is important to cut your about once a week. Mowing at a height of 2-2 1/2 inches in the spring and 3 inches during the summer drought is ideal. Clippings? If minimal, they can be left on to nourish your lawn with organic matter. If too long, remove to avoid suffocating the grass. Now you know!

To water or not to water? That is the question. There are many factors that determine this:⁠

The initial watering should be 15 minutes after installation with a goal of completely saturating the sod and building a decent bank of water in the soil. Your goal going forward is the keep the sod moist and replenish the bank of water in the soil, whatever that takes.⁠
