It’s been a summer of painting big. Big murals. Big canvases. Big proposals for big projects.

I had to figure out how to get this big piece “From the Ashes” down to Bowen Island where I’m staying this week.

It’s going up October 8 for the show An Inevitable Beauty.

It’s my last day on Bowen today and you can find me all day.

This is the last of the honeybee flight paths series. Based on scientific graphs tracking the flight of bees over the landscape, this series has been so much fun to paint.

It’s always so interesting to me that the bees fly in the shape of flowers or petals. This piece was also partially inspired by my garden which was producing incredible pink and oranges blooms while I painted.

Friendships are one of my most treasured assets in life. Spending time with these women last weekend was the absolute best. They’ve known me since I was a teenager. Nothing beats listening to and laughing with friends that have loved you through all the stages.

Here we are visiting my art work So thankful these girls were willing to drive to Salmon Arm for the weekend. 💗 💗 💗

Thank-you to all the visitors at the studio yesterday 💗

Today is Mother’s Day. I am in the mothering years right now. I would do anything for my kids and regularly do.

To all the moms who are watching the games & shows, making the lunches, advocating for their people, doing the driving, paying the bills, giving the hugs & listening ears - I see us doing such a great job.

I am so grateful to be mothering alongside many inspiring women who are loving themselves and their kids.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers bio & chosen out there. 🌺
