⚠️ Event & Site Rules ⚠️

We are here to honour this land and its descendents, many of whom are here today. While acknowledging and respecting the injustices done to the Red River Métis Citizens of Ste. Madeleine and across the homeland, it's crucial we preserve this land.

Please respect the land and leave zero litter. If you see garbage, please help us and simply pick it up. 

• This is a dry event-no drinking or drugs.
• Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated at this event.
• Quiet time is 11:00pm - 7:00 am.
• No weapons or paraphernalia.
• All pets must be kept on a leash, including in the camping area.
• Clean up and dispose of your pet's waste.
• No fires are allowed outside fire pits.

478 BRIDGE IS OPEN ⚠️ CAUTION SEVERE BUMPS FROM BINSCARTH. Drive SLOW ⚠️

Head West on PHWY 478 from Binscarth, passed the Assiniboine River bridge; turn left, THERE WILL BE SIGNS from Binscarth, Russell as well as Saskatchewan and as far as Minnedosa and Virden.

The gravel road up from valley is fairly steep, if you keep going there’s another gravel road entrance at the top of the west side of valley, there’s a sign that says Binscarth Cemetery on the stop sign. 🛑

❗️GPS coordinates here. You may not be able to use this for real time data. The cell reception service is not always reliable out here and they sometimes dont consider this a road on GPS. Good luck & please drive safe.🤞🏽

Join us at the Descendants' Tent at Ste. Madeleine Heritage Local Métis Days!

Descendants of Ste. Madeleine residents are invited to take part in a scrapbooking workshop about the community and it's legacy, a sharing circle where we will record your family history for future projects, and a history showcase where we invite all descendants to feature their family's ancestral items to showcase your family history for everyone attending.

Please bring any artifacts to the Descendants' Tent once you've registered at the front entrance. 24-hour security will be on-site to protect ancestral items. For more information, please contact the Ste. Madeleine Heritage Local at [email protected].
