Thank you very much Alvin Homan for helping set up the main gate crossing lights. The crossing signals originally came from CNR and the bell came from Alvin’s stash. The control came from my friend Chuck Hackett in Florida at Mini Rail Solution’s.

The main gate entrance to Train Acres is about to have operational crossing signals and bell for our September 12 and 13th Children’s Hospital big fund raising event.

Here is the last few days activity at Train Acres. Train Acres badly needed a set of crossing signals at the main entrance. So I made a trench from the station to the gate crossing a 380’ run 36” deep and laid ac power Cat 6 cable and 2 double strands of 18 gauge low voltage wires for future track switch controls.
I was so great fully thankful for a friend offering his assistance today to help me with the cable laying into the trench a two man job. But even beyond that he is a professional that does daily duties for CPKC in the control aspect.
Hopefully tomorrow he will have made the conversion on an old set of CN signals to LED and that end of the signal system will be working.

This is where I am at today on the CP6644 project. The traction drive system fully electric is ready to go. It has been a slow build so far with shop time now and again due to my wife’s medical issues requiring our 100% concentration over the last several months.
