Auditions Are Almost Here…

Auditions can feel exciting and terrifying all at once. That’s normal! Nerves don’t mean you’re not ready—they mean you care. 💛

Here are a few reminders to help you walk into the room with confidence:
✨ Know your material — don’t just memorize, understand the story you’re telling.
✨ Practice out loud — in front of a mirror, your family, even your dog.
✨ Breathe — calm your body before you sing or speak.
✨ Stand tall — confidence often shows up after you start.
✨ Remember your why — it’s not about perfection, it’s about connection.

We’re in this together—cheer for your peers, give it your best, and let your light shine.

Directable actors get more opportunities.
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about how you carry yourself.

Directors and casting teams pick up on this stuff fast.
Not just how you perform.
But how you react.
How you listen.
How you recover.

And most performers mess this up without realizing it.

They think being “coachable” means staying quiet or agreeing with everything.

But real directability is in your body language.

Do you look your director in the eye when they speak?

Do you adjust your delivery in the very next run, or keep doing it the same way?

Do you hold your energy even when you’re offstage?

These details might feel small.
But I promise you, they get noticed.
And they open doors.

The actors who keep getting cast aren’t always the flashiest.
They’re the ones who make directors want to work with them again and again.

On this Sunday, we pause to remember why we do all of this: it’s for Jesus. He is the reason we perform, the One we worship and serve with joy. The Bible says, “Whatever you do... do it all for the glory of God.” We echo that in Spirit Borne – whether on stage or off, it's all about bringing glory to Christ!
