Dear Sisters,

I know many of you have been wondering what our response will be to COVID-19. We have spent two days speaking to your Directors and we all believe that it is our responsibility to make an effort to slow down the virus.

We know that many of you are vulnerable and we would be horrified if we caused any illness or worse.
The science supports cancelling gatherings. I am sure you are all doing your own research but this article from the CBC is very helpful.

We are in very close contact as we sing. The other issue is that already one church has closed their doors to groups using the church. I expect this will happen with other churches. Our nursing/seniors homes are also cancelling our dates.

I am sorry as I am really going to miss my choir. I know the other Directors feel the same way but keeping you safe is top of the list. Home practice for now is the best bet. Your April and May songs are on Groupanizer so you are able to practice some new material.
