A little theatre history… The Little Theatre movement emerged in the early 20th century as a response to the limitations of large commercial theatres. This movement aimed to establish small experimental centers of drama, encouraging freedom of expression and artistic merit. This tradition is as important today with Community playhouses being centers of experimental activity, providing early opportunities for playwrights, actors, directors, and techncians.
Community theatre serve as a vital cultural institution, fostering local talent and providing a space for artistic experimentation and expression. It acts as a stepping stone for emerging artists, contributing to the broader theatrical landscape by nurturing creativity and innovation at the grassroots level. RuminariLive is proud to have six of our students accepted into the Victoria School of the Arts in Edmonton coming Fall of 2025. Happy World Theatre Day!

Starting January 10, 2025, we’re kicking off an exciting 12-week Performance Theatre Class right here in Beaumont! 🌟 Your kids will dive into the magical world of Alice in Wonderland, learning acting skills, building confidence, and making new friends along the way.
The best part? At the end of the program, they’ll bring this whimsical tale to life in a special performance for family and friends!

THEATRE CLASS FOR FOLKS OVER 40! No Experience Necessary!!!
Dissident Lace & Ink - Theatre for 40+
Try something new with this original and inaugural piece of theatre with class exploration and presentation of a theatre piece set at the first of the 20th Century. There is so much to discover from costuming to manners of speach to the rich history as ths the industrial refolution is taking form.
Each week, we meet to look at and discuss a play together, focusing on a different play each session. This session we will be customizing a turn of the century piece called Dissident Lace & Ink, adapting it and performing it.
These fun, sociable sessions allow participants to meet with old friends and new likeminded people while discovering a great story and learning more about the world of theatre and performance.
Come join us for sociable and lively discussion on how it was to live at the beginning of the 20th Century!
There is a show at the end of the session in December, but no memorization is required. COME MEET SOME NEW FRIENDS AND SHARE SOME MEMORIES WITH EVERYONE!
Classes start Thursday September 19th

Dive into Acting and Drama Classes this FALL!

We have classes for ages 6-18 and seniors classes this fall, from beginners to advanced students.

Each session lasts for 2 hours, tailored to suit different age groups. Prepare to learn in a small class size – we have over 30 years experience training young people in drama.

There is a short performance at the end of the session, showcasing all the skills you’ve honed.

We run our classes in Beaumont!
