Who else is tired today; that extra hour of sleep can't come soon enough. Getting amped up for HALLOWEEN 🎃👻 fun on Saturday! 🚨Also, we will be closed Friday Oct 30th. 🚨

Today's is The Long Way Home by Louise Penny: "Happily retired in the village of Three Pines, Armand Gamache, former Chief Inspector of Homicide with the Sûreté du Québec, has found a peace he'd only imagined possible. "There is a balm in Gilead," his neighbor Clara Morrow reads from a dust jacket, "to make the wounded whole."

Together with his former second-in-command, Jean-Guy Beauvoir, and Myrna Landers, they journey deeper and deeper into Québec. And deeper and deeper into the soul of Peter Morrow. A man so desperate to recapture his fame as an artist, he would sell that soul. And may have. And there they discover the terrible damage done by a sin-sick soul."

We are located at 1704 Lansdowne Rd in Bear River, and are open Wednesday to Friday 12 to 6 pm and Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm.

Today's is The Courting of Bristol Keats by Mary E. Pearson:"After losing both their parents, Bristol Keats and her sisters struggle to stay afloat in their small, quiet town of Bowskeep. When Bristol begins to receive letters from an “aunt” she’s never heard of who promises she can help, she reluctantly agrees to meet—and discovers that everything she thought she knew about her family is a lie. Even her father might still be alive, not killed but kidnapped by terrifying creatures to a whole other realm—the one he is from."

Today's is What the Body Remembers by Shauna Singh Baldwin; "Out of the rich culture of India and the brutal drama of the 1947 Partition comes this lush and eloquent debut novel about two women married to the same man.Meticulously researched and beautifully written, What the Body Remembers is at once poetic, political, feminist, and sensual."

Today's is Michael Crummey's Galore: "An intricate family saga and love story spanning two centuries, Galore is a portrait of the improbable medieval world that was rural Newfoundland, a place almost too harrowing and extravagant to be real. Remote and isolated, exposed to savage extremes of climate and fate, the people of Paradise Deep persist in a realm where the line between the everyday and the otherworldly is impossible to distinguish."

Today's is The Good Detective by John McMahon: "Detective P.T. Marsh was a rising star on the police force of Mason Falls, Georgia--until his wife and young son died in an accident. Since that night, he's lost the ability to see the line between smart moves and disastrous decisions. Such as when he agrees to help out a woman by confronting her abusive boyfriend. When the next morning he gets called to the scene of his newest murder case, he is stunned to arrive at the house of the very man he beat up the night before. He could swear the guy was alive when he left, but can he be sure?"
