Congratulations Michelle Budiwski et al.

One voice may seem small but put together they can make a difference. ..

Let's talk about what it takes to stand up to online hate!

Alright… Colin Sundaynight really said it out loud:

“It takes too long to charge. Filling up is faster. My time is… precious.”

So naturally… we leaned into it.

Tonight on REAL TALK with Colin & Michelle, we’re going head-to-head on EVs — and yes, Colin is firmly planted in the “gas is king” camp while Michelle Budiwski is driving electric in rural Manitoba every day.

This isn’t a polite agreement kind of show.
This is:

⚡ Real experience vs assumptions
⚡ Rural reality vs convenience arguments
⚡ Time, cost, infrastructure — all of it on the table

And apparently… a little Lord of the Rings energy too.

If you’ve ever wondered whether EVs actually work outside the city — or if Colin’s right and we’re all just wasting our “precious time” — you’ll want to tune in.

It’s going to be honest, a little heated, and definitely hilarious.

🔥 REAL TALK with Colin & Michelle — Tomorrow Night

It’s happening.

Colin and Michelle go head-to-head on one of the most debated topics right now: Electric Vehicles.

Michelle lives it — driving a in rural Manitoba, navigating real-world challenges and benefits every day.
Colin? Not convinced. Not even close.

This isn’t theory.
This is lived experience vs skepticism.

⚡ Are EVs practical outside the city?
⚡ Do they actually make sense economically?
⚡ What about infrastructure, winter, and long distances?
⚡ Hype vs reality — who’s right?

The battle is on.

Congratulate Colin Sundaynight for FINALLY beating Michelle Budiwski at Scrabble ....

It's really a major victory after all....

It happens so infrequently.....

Let's all take a moment to applaud!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is a great tool for anyone that moderates a group!

This is a great tool for anyone that moderates a group!

You may have noticed a shift on my page lately.

Less hate.
Less trolling.
Less noise.

That’s not because it’s gone — it’s because I’ve started using built-in AI moderation tools to deal with it.

Facebook literally provides this.

It’s free.
It’s accessible.
It takes a few clicks to turn on.

It helps screen for fake accounts, bots, slurs, hate, and threats.

And here’s the part that matters most:

These comments aren’t deleted… they’re hidden.

Which means the person posting them can still see their comment —
but no one else can.

So if you’re posting hateful, abusive, or attention-seeking nonsense and wondering why no one is reacting…

It's because you’re talking… to yourself.

From there, I review everything manually. I decide what gets approved, deleted, reported, or results in a ban — because protecting people from harassment and maintaining the integrity of this space matters.

Now here’s the uncomfortable truth:

Every page admin has access to these same tools.

Every group.
Every page.
Every platform space.

So when hate, threats, and harassment are allowed to run wild, it’s not because they can’t moderate it.

It’s because they choose not to.

And that makes them responsible.

I don’t catch everything.
But what I do catch is enough to show how much ugliness exists beneath the surface.

So if this page feels more respectful, more focused, more human — that’s intentional.

And it’s staying that way.

🎙️ REAL TALK with Colin & Michelle — Episode 82

Originally aired March 22 on Island Radio 101.3FM via CJAI Amherst Island Radio — now coming to your podcast feed.

📅 Available March 31 on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Podbean

This episode takes a clear, honest look at political accountability—and what happens when leadership fails to meet the moment.

From decisions by Doug Ford to the broader culture shaping our conversations, we connect the dots between leadership, online behaviour, and what our kids are absorbing every day.

💬 What we’re unpacking:
• What real accountability actually looks like
• The rise and normalization of online hate
• How political tone is influencing the next generation
• Why respectful discourse feels like it’s disappearing—and how we push back

This isn’t theoretical.
It’s showing up in our communities, our homes, and our future.

💬 Honest. Bold. Unfiltered.

🎙️ Episode 82 of Real Talk with Colin & Michelle drops tomorrow

This conversation originally aired on CJAI Island Radio 101.3 FM on March 22 — and it’s one that’s been sitting with me.

We take a hard look at political accountability, the impact of leadership decisions like those of Doug Ford, and how the tone being set at the top is showing up in our communities, our conversations… and our kids.

Because this isn’t just politics anymore.

It’s the normalization of online hate.
It’s the erosion of respectful discourse.
And it’s a reminder that leadership — in public life and at home — matters more than ever.

💬 Honest. Bold. Unfiltered.
🎧 Available tomorrow.
