🎨 Young Artist Spotlight — Taisia Kabarguina Taisia has been studying art with me for almost 10 years, since she was 7 years old — and the results truly speak for themselves.

Oil painting is her favourite medium, and this artwork is completely her own creative concept: Taisia created the still-life composition, photographed it herself, and then transformed her idea into an oil painting.

The composition explores a contrast between fast food and healthy, natural food — between excess and simplicity, temptation and beauty. I’m very proud to see how her artistic vision and skills have grown over the years. ❤️

Special thanks to her wonderful mom, Jane Kabarguina, for supporting Taisia’s artistic journey from the very beginning.

At our studio, we learn to work with watercolor professionally and with joy — exploring color mixing, beautiful washes, water control, light, texture, and expressive brushwork.

Every painting is unique. We learn, experiment, create, and most importantly — enjoy the process! 💙

🌊 Summer Memories Birthday Party 🐚✨

We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Green Lion Arts Studio, filled with creativity, laughter and beautiful memories of summer!

Inspired by the sea, we created textured ocean paintings using natural materials, colourful stones, sparkling gems, coral and seashells. There was so much fun, imagination and, of course, plenty of sparkle! ✨

Each young artist also placed a little secret inside a tiny bottle—a special keepsake that will hold sweet memories of this beautiful day. A charming sea turtle completed the artwork and added the perfect finishing touch to our ocean-inspired décor. 🐢💙

Happy Birthday! May this creative celebration remain a joyful summer memory for many years to come! 🎨🎉

I invite everyone to join me for a special Tree of Life Workshop as part of the Ukraine Independence Day Celebration! 🇺🇦

The workshop will be led by me, Ukrainian-Canadian artist Mariya Blyznyuk.

Together, we will create our own Tree of Life and explore this beautiful and ancient Ukrainian tradition. We’ll talk about its origins, the meaning of its symbols, and how the Tree of Life has been represented in Ukrainian folk art and culture through generations.

I warmly invite families and children of all ages to join us, create, learn, and celebrate Ukrainian culture together.
