✨ we have LOTS of fun colours coming to the KW Knitters Fair this Saturday! Choose from Solar Sock or Merino DK and you’ll be able to make your own sock set since we’re bringing individual tonal mini skeins on both bases!

Pictured are some quick combos Allison made today with our Solar Sock full skeins and 25 gram mini skeins 😍 all of these colours and more will be available in person this Saturday at the festival!

☀️ friendly reminder that we’re closing early today, Thursday, at 3pm and we will be CLOSED tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday since we’ll be at the festival. We’ll be open again this Sunday at the shop from 11am-4pm with our social from 11am-1pm.

We hope to see some of you at the festival this weekend! We’re bringing quite the amount of yarn, Jessica project bags, samples and notions!

🌊 Lakelands is back in stock on both Solar Sock & Merino DK! We really love this colour with the bright pop of turquoise, the darker teal and the white to black sections. It’s a beautiful blend of colours! Great for socks or a one skein knit or crochet shawl! 🩵

We went on a walk before work today and the bay was looking beautiful under the bright blue sky ☀️ not the greatest picture but it’s at the end of the carousel. I can’t wait to see fall colours when looking across the bay!

We’re busy getting ready for the KW Knitters Fair this Saturday in Kitchener. Lots of yarn and Jessica project bags are coming with us!

🎃 want to try something new? We have the absolute cutest felt doll kits from Kiriki Press in the shop. Introducing the “Costume Cats Collection” - make one or collect them all!

These kits come with everything you need to make your own costume cat: pre-cut felt pieces, embroidery floss and needle, stuffing and full colour instructions. We are long time fans of Kiriki Press, a small business from Toronto, and they were one of our first purchases for the new shop. You can find everything we have from them under the “New to the Shop” section or by coming to the shop (or the KW Knitters fair next Saturday!).

Allison fell in love with the “Harlequin Cat” so expect to see it finished soon! 🐈‍⬛❤️ she’s having SO much fun putting it all together!

🌻 it’s time for a new month of socials here at FMF! Our second month! How time flies when you’re spending time with such lovely people!

We are continuing with offering our Friday night socials from 6pm-8pm and our Sunday morning socials from 11am-1pm. Please feel free join us! All hand crafts welcome! 😊

You’ll notice we are going to be closed next Friday, September 11th which means no social. We will also be closed the following day on Saturday, September 12th. This is because we are vending at the KW Knitters Fair in Kitchener! 🧶🎉

We will also be closing early next Thursday, Sept 10th so we can start packing up all the yarn and Jessica project bags that will be coming with us. Our modified hours for that day will be 11am-3pm.

We will back and open in time for next Sunday’s hours including our social. If anyone has any questions, please let us know!

👻 this shop update is like Totally Haunted!! A bunch of our favourite Halloween colours, including this one, are now available online under our “New to the Shop” section.

You can also find some fun Halloween themed stitch stoppers in our “Tools & Accessories” drop down menu AND you can make your own sock set by going to the “Mainstay Mini Skein Collection” tab where we have over thirty tonal solar sock mini skeins to choose from!

Thank you so much to everyone who has engaged with our posts this week! 🧡 we really appreciate it! And thank you to everyone who takes a look around our online shop! Everything will be available for in person shopping starting tomorrow, Friday, when we’ll be open from 12-8pm (social from 6-8pm).

P.S. we have all of the Halloween colours we’ve shared this week plus a few more also available on our Merino DK base at our brick and mortar! We’ll pop them online sometime after we come back from the KW Knitters Fair next weekend 🎃 and we have Merino DK tonal mini skeins at the shop too!

🎃 it’s online shop update day! Lots of our favourite Halloween colours are returning to the shop tonight at 6pm ET and we also have a ton of Halloween themed stitch stoppers already available if you want to use some with your scary season projects! You can find them under our “Tools & Accessories” section on the website.

You can also come by the shop to see our Halloween colours & stitch stoppers starting tomorrow, Friday, from 12-8pm. We’re also open today from 11-6pm if you’re in the area! 🧶☀️

The stitch stoppers are photographed with some Orange Octopus gradient Frankencakes and we still have a few in stock online and at the shop if you’re interested in this beautiful hand dyed yarn by our friend Paula Paula 🐙
