Looking back now, I can see that God was with me in such a personal and intimate way. He truly was with me in the valley. I needed Him more than every hour... I needed Him every second.

That season taught me something I never want to forget: dependence on God isn't weakness—it's where peace is found. I pray that I would always live with that same dependence, not just in the hard times, but in every season.

Today I know that no matter what lies ahead, I don't have to fear it as long as He is with me. His presence is worth more than comfort, certainty, or an easy life.

*"Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere."* — **Psalm 84:10**

If one day in His presence is better than a thousand anywhere else, then even the darkest valley is a place of hope when He walks through it with us. ❤️

Only 8 mugs last week. But I am streamlining more....
And making them faster....

BUT!

I can't make the same mug over and over. Each mug is their own unique creation ..I just can't help myself...

This has been my **third attempt** at this content challenge... and wow, this one was a doozy.

The first take started with, "Ten years ago I was in a dark place..." and then somehow it just got darker. 😅 Definitely not the vibe I was going for.

The second take was filmed in my car. It was more positive, but it didn't really have a takeaway.

Then there was this one.

Honestly... it is what it is.

Every attempt has been a learning opportunity.

I'm confident I'll get better at creating content, but only because I'm willing to keep showing up.

This challenge has taught me so much about the Edits app. I've swore a little, sighed a lot, walked away more than once... and then came back to it.

And I think that's the lesson.

Start small. Just be intentional.

After COVID, I was asked to host a paint night. Only six people had signed up. If I'm honest, I expected more.

But instead of focusing on the numbers, I decided to focus on the six people who were coming. I wanted to steward those clients well and give them the very best experience I could.

Then, at the very last minute, eight more people signed up.

It was such a wonderful surprise.

That experience reminded me that you don't have to wait for something to become big before you give it your best.

My mom always used to say,

"Do what you do well."

I think that's still some of the best advice I've ever received.

Have you ever made one tiny mistake... and decided the whole painting was ruined?

The truth is, mistakes aren't an *if*—they're a *when*.

The difference isn't whether you make a mistake. It's how you respond when it happens.

When something doesn't go as planned, pause before you panic. Step away for a breath... or three. Give yourself a moment to calm down and assess the situation so you can **respond instead of react**.

🎨 If you're painting with acrylics and accidentally paint over a line:
• Wipe away the excess paint with a damp paper towel or baby wipe.
• Let the area dry completely before repainting.
• If waiting drives you crazy, work on another section or take a quick water break.

Then ask yourself:
✨ What did I learn?
✨ How can I avoid this next time?
✨ How do I want to respond the next time I make a mistake?

Painting has taught me that resilience isn't about never making mistakes. It's about refusing to let one mistake decide the outcome.

That painting you almost threw away?
It might end up being one you're proud to display.
