Bow Valley Chorus has become a vital and integral part of the Banff-Canmore cultural community. We are now proudly in our fourteenth year of wonderful choral existence! Since its genesis, Bow Valley Chorus, under the talented direction of founder John Goulart, has performed a wide variety of classical compositions with orchestral accompaniment and professional soloists. In 2010, Bow Valley
Chorus had the honour of singing the official 2010 Olympic Torch Relay Anthem for
the torch’s arrival in both Canmore and Banff. Most recently, Bow Valley Chorus
performed with the international and award-winning trio, Tenore; with internationally
renowned children’s performer, Fred Penner; The Elmer Iseler Singers and international jazz vocalist, Holly Cole. Bow Valley Chorus is very proud of their maestro, John Goulart, who was the recipient of the 2013 Alberta Choral Federation Con Spirito Award. This award is presented annually in recognition of the spirit and dedication of individuals to choral music in their communities.
