Thank you to all the newcomers here, and everyone who has supported me from the beginning 🤗

I picked up watercolours 4 years ago, and I can’t believe that now I’ve finished illustrating my first children’s book. It’s been an amazing journey and I love how it’s looking.

It was a nice time at the Bancroft Art and Craft Market this past weekend. So lovely to see all your faces 🤗 And thanks for coming to see me out in the park.

It was a shame that we got rained out on Sunday! Hoping to do some more vendor art events soon 🤗

And also, thanks to my husband, Teal, for being my forever booth helper 😝 and my dog, Ziggy for being the best little store greeter that I could ask for 🙌

Hope everyone had a great long weekend. I’m back into illustrating a children’s book this week - I’ll be showing some of the process soon, so stay tuned for more 🤩

My peekaboo series is complete 🤩🤗

I love these Canadian forest animals - and I’m sure we all have stories about each one, I know I do, especially in my big forest back yard.

I chose bright colours for all the animals - to capture people’s attention. Because we need to be thinking about our wildlife and forests now more than ever 🩵

If you saw me at the Madoc Artwalk, then you were lucky enough to see the debut of this series as cards, mini prints, and even large prints 🙌

Today I’m painting a page with jellyfish. I use watercolour and ink - which I think lends so lovely for jellyfish especially because you can make them see-through with many layers.

Time to add some finishing touches to this panel that I’m illustrating for a children’s book. It’s a book about belonging, written by the Bursey Twin Stories - Authors, Foster Parents, Teachers with an ocean theme and I’m absolutely loving bringing it to life! 🌊🐟🐠🦀🐙🐬
