📣 REMINDER — OUR AGM IS COMING UP! 💜

Dance families, mark your calendars! Our Athabasca Dance Society AGM is Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:00 PM at the studio.

📝 DON’T FORGET YOUR DEPOSIT CHEQUES!
Families can bring their required deposit cheques with them to the AGM.

We’re also looking for some new faces to join our Executive team! Several positions are available, and we would love to have more of our dance families get involved.

✨ Performance Assistant

You don’t need previous board experience — just a willingness to lend a hand, share some ideas, and help us continue creating an amazing dance experience for our dancers. 💜

Do you have a little one who is always dancing, twirling, bouncing or busting a move whenever the music comes on? 💃🕺

Registration for the 2026/27 dance season is OPEN and we still have lots of room for our youngest dancers! 💕

We have options for ages 3–6, including:

Whether this is their very first dance class or they’re already dancing their way through the living room, we’d love to welcome them to the Athabasca Dance Society!

🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP, ADS FAMILIES! 🚨

We are still in desperate need of volunteers for our upcoming casino in Fort McMurray on September 22 & 23, 2026.

Our casino is an incredibly important fundraiser for Athabasca Dance Society and helps support our dancers and keep our programs running. In order for the casino to be successful, we need volunteers to fill the remaining shifts!

✨ BONUS: Families who volunteer for the casino will have their volunteer commitment covered for the 2026–2027 dance season!

If you are able to help us out, PLEASE reach out! Even if you’ve never volunteered at a casino before, no experience is necessary and you’ll be shown exactly what to do.

We truly appreciate everyone who gives their time to help support ADS and our dancers. 💜

We’re so excited to get another amazing dance season underway! 💕✨

Not sure which classes to register for? Have questions about prerequisites or corequisites? Our registration team is here to help! Please reach out to [email protected] with any registration questions.

Our team will also be monitoring registrations as they come in. If we notice that any adjustments need to be made to your dancer’s registration, we’ll reach out to you directly.

We are so excited to share our class schedule for the upcoming dance season.

We can't wait to welcome both returning and new dancers for another incredible year of learning, growing, and dancing together. 💜🩰

Please note that the schedule is subject to change based on registration numbers, so be sure to register early to help us finalize our class offerings.

A huge thank you to our registration team for emailing returning dance families their class recommendations. Please use this guide to register your dancer. Any questions about class placement, pre-requisites and co-requisites can be directed to our registration team at [email protected] Please be patient while waiting for a response. As we are volunteers and usually need to touch base with teachers before we can get you an answer.

The Athabasca Dance Society Annual General Meeting is happening on Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:00 PM, and we hope to see all of our dance families there!

We have some exciting changes planned for the upcoming season and can’t wait to share everything with you.

A few updates before registration opens:

💜 Our 2026/2027 class schedule is complete!

Over the next couple of weeks, each dance family will receive a personalized email with:
• Recommended classes for each dancer
• Any prerequisite and co-requisite classes required
• Registration recommendations specific to your dancer(s)

This personalized approach is designed to make registration as smooth and stress-free as possible.

🩰 Registration will open after these emails have been sent, so please keep an eye on your inbox!

We’ll also be discussing volunteer opportunities, season updates, and you’ll have the chance to enter a draw to have your fundraising commitment waived for the 2026/2027 dance season!

More AGM details will be shared soon—we can’t wait to kick off another amazing year of dance!
