I was born and raised in Grimsby Ontario and moved to Cache Creek/Ashcroft area in 1981 and settled in Kamloops with husband and son in 1985. Professional community involvements include teaching music, voice mainly, some piano, and singing solos at funerals and sometimes weddings. I have experience preparing taxes and 8 years helping people buy and sell real estate. Volunteering involvements incl
ude Christopher Leadership Course instruction, leading singing at church, instructing dancercize and Zumba at the YM-YWCA. My performances include roles of Fruma Sara in Fiddler on the Roof, and Ruth in Pirates of Penzance. I've had a minimum of 10 years experience on various community boards. My voice back ground includes an associate diploma with the Royal Conservatory of Music in Perfomance in Singing. This means I have sung exams all key year exams, Grades 1, 3, 6, 8, plus Grade 9, 10 and ARCT. Plus I’ve completed all the theory papers required for all instruments…harmony analysis, counterpoint, composition, and history of music. I enjoy water and the outdoors, walking, camping with my husband and getting together with family and friends. I love to read and am part of a book club. I have choreographed dances for fitness classes that I have taught. I enjoy driving my vehicle, provided it can accelerate quick enough at times, when the weather is good. It gives me a chance to think and unwind, and dream. I love meeting new people, hearing new stories, and making new connections, as well as getting to know better those who are already in my life.
