Hey! We promise that this summer’s show is also a fun time for shy people. This is an experience FOR the introverts and wallflowers! What could be more entertaining than enjoying a night of comedy and music and theatrical invention and storytelling spectacle- followed by a dance where there is no need to know the rules where everything is explained for you and all you have to do is follow the instructions (or sit on the comfy sidelines with your cocktail and watch the drama go down)… whatever your social mode of operation might be, Voice of the Valley will be a good time

BOOK YOUR PAY WHAT YOU CAN TICKETS
This summer we are doing something so lively, so fun, so sassy and joyous that you will want to come more than once: It's VOICE OF THE VALLEY... a Vaudeville Barn Dance experience!
Staged in the Timber Barn, the evening will unfold with a cast of incredible musicians, comedians, and storytellers amidst the rolling green fields and summer sunsets of Caravan Farm Theatre's 80 acres. Come early and stroll the meadows, bring a picnic, enjoy a craft ale. Then laugh, sing, and DANCE.
This is an event for anyone who loves this beautiful valley and wants to step out and mix and mingle with neighbours near and far.

What is a VAUDEVILLE BARN DANCE you may ask?

The VAUDEVILLE comes from the French: "Voice of the City" and will take the form of a one-hour variety show with sketch comedy, improv, stand up, stories and songs about life here in the Okanagan.
The BARN DANCE will be a traditional square dance with a live band, and the person calling out the do-si-do will be none other than one of Toronto's most decorated slam poets, Luke Reece!

Our SATURDAY NIGHT performances of July 25 and August 1, will kick it up a notch and feature folk/country stars TRIXIE and DUSTIN BENTALL!

Created and performed by Kris Alvarez, Ryan Beil, Steve Charles, Luke Reece and Ajineen Sagal. Directed by Luke Reece. Music Direction, Composition, and Arrangement by Ajineen Sagal Set and Costumes Designed by Estelle Shook. Lighting Design by Evan Miller Unser. Stage Managed by Hannah Abbey.

Gates open at 6:30pm, The performance begins at 7:30pm
Running time: approx. 120 minutes, including one intermission
