What a beautiful night last night was!

We cracked the $2,000 mark on our Kickstarter, but more importantly I got to kick it with some rad, rad human beings and have some beautiful convos about hopes and dreams of the direction we’re all headed in. And eat some burgers. 😅

Not to mention some of the incredibly touching messages I received yesterday. 💪

Thanks for taking the time to make the time, and spending your most precious resource with me.

We at are very grateful for the support our Kickstarter has generated so far. We’ve hit our first goal which is pretty incredible to see.

Every dollar raised is going towards visiting communities, hosting open mics, writing workshops, shows and offering an encouraging space for artists to create and share!

So we’re not stopping yet, is what I’m saying!

Our ultimate goal is to raise $12,000 and visit 6 new communities throughout BC.

What keeps me going is remembering myself as a young artist, without much community or outlet. I know that resonates with you as well.

Frantic is an emcee and a poet based in Kelowna, BC. We recently hosted his release party for the album "Wisdom and Wonder". We'll be speaking about how Frantic uses music as a means to find meaning in life, and channel his emotions. We'll also be speaking about what the Healing Thru Hip Hop project means to him, and the potential that he sees.

Everyone has a story to tell, and hip-hop has a unique ability to give voice to these stories. And when we share our stories it gives us an opportunity to live more authentically, and to heal.

Our goal is to visit 6 underserved towns in B.C, hosting open mics, writing workshops and shows in each town.

We'll be offering a space for artists to learn more about their craft and share their music.

Both founding members of Well Versed, Mike Irish and Cody Hall, have been fortunate to have found healing in hip hop, using it for therapy and recovery.

We want nothing more than to help create community where all are welcome to come share their stories. And share in that healing.
