DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL
A Huge Summer Bash at the KCT
This isn’t just a show.
This is a full-throttle, sun-soaked, joy-blasting SUMMER EVENT—and it’s landing at the KCT like a confetti cannon.

Pixie & Dot Productions, Sassafras & Co., Too Fly Productions & Blind Faith Productions are teaming up for an electrifying co-production of Disney's High School Musical, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the iconic movie that defined a generation. Two decades later, the music still slaps, the friendships still hit, and the energy? Bigger than ever.

This production is built to be a spectacle.

Think bold choreography. Large ensemble moments. Pop-rock vocals that lift the roof. A stage bursting with colour, movement, and summer magic. It’s nostalgia turned up to eleven—reimagined for today’s audiences, families, teens, and anyone who still knows every word to Breaking Free.

Whether you grew up with the Wildcats or you’re discovering East High for the first time, this is your invitation to: Sing louder / Dance harder / Bop to the top.

From first note to final bow, Disney's High School Musical at the KCT will be a high-energy celebration of friendship, ambition, and going after what lights you up—together.

⭐⭐PLEASE NOTE: TIMES HAVE CHANGED AND THE SHOW WILL START AT 8:00PM NOT 7:30 ⭐⭐

Local musician and music teacher Deborah Gabinet takes to the stage with her moving one-woman show, 'THE GIN BEHIND THE COUCH'.

The performance pays tribute to her childhood mentor, Mable Brandon, who began teaching Deborah piano at age five and remained a guiding force during her growing years. Through Deborah’s expert piano playing, humour, and deeply personal storytelling, she invites the audience to go ‘behind the couch,’ sharing with them her personal experiences of the value of ‘having a mentor’.

For over four decades, Deborah has shared that same inspiration with her own piano, voice and choral students in Manitoba, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia. Her heartfelt tribute reminds us of the power of music and the teachers who light the way.

Reviewers praised the show as “a brilliant performance” and “beautifully done, with emotion, passion, and soul flowing throughout.”

The Gin Behind the Couch will be preceded by Beverley Peacock’s “Stone Soup Story”.. An original telling of the traditional story.

Since its first printing in the early 1700’s in France, Stone Soup has had many versions. This refreshing take on an ancient story brings joy and hope to our uncertain world.

Shakespeare Kelowna cordially invites you to a captivating evening of outdoor theatre. Adapted and directed by Tanya Laing Gahr, this bold new adaptation reimagines The Taming of the Shrew as a feminist, Regency- era battle of wits. Shakespeare’s original text remains 95% intact but is reimagined to explore the mutual transformation of two fiercely intelligent individuals—Katherina and Petruchio—as they navigate the constraints of identity, power, and how society expects them to behave. It tells a story that shows strength is not based on domination, but in vulnerability, wit, and the courage to defy convention.
July 15-19 + July 22-25

Step out of the sun and see Dear Evan Hansen, now playing at ! The entire cast shines in this performance, and they are all giving it all they've got. From Jaxen's comic relief to Skylar's angsty teen to Malachi's troubled Connor; Cate's ambitious overachiever to Mac's dad that refuses to acknowledge his feelings and the mothers that are doing their very best to hold it all together... And right in the middle of it all is Ethan's Evan Hansen, who displays such raw emotion that he draws you in, shakes you up and drops you on the floor. Everyone wants - Needs- to be seen.
This is an important work, people. Take it in. This one could change you, or someone close to you. Bravo, one and all 👏👏
