That’s officially a wrap on the 2025/26 curling season!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the windup this weekend, the AGM yesterday, and to the cleanup crew who showed up tonight. The rink wouldn’t be the same without the continued support from our teams and the community.

Here are our winners this year 🥇
Men’s:
A-side: Team B. Buchanan
B-side: Team Slatcher

Women’s:
Team McCurdy (not pictured)
Runners up: Team Crockatt

And of course, none of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers who give so much of their time to the rink. This year, the president presented volunteer awards to Terry Billingham, Don Adamko, Nic Skrabek, and Sarah Barton, with the club awarding honourable mentions to Chad Thoresby and Jacqui Holod.

Tickets are $25 each for a steak or chicken dinner 🥩🍗 Please text Chrissy by Friday, April 10 to let us know you’re coming, so we can make sure there’s plenty of food and drinks to go around 🍻🥌

Thank you to all the teams and fans who joined us for the annual Mixed Glow Bonspiel. It was a great weekend filled with glowing costumes, great curling, and loads of fun 🥌✨

Congratulations to Team Wichlund who took the top spot in the curling events. Team Buchanan were right behind them in second place with Team Good coming in third. And while the Minions didn’t take home the curling title, they were voted Best Costumes and certainly brought the glow!

A big thank you as well to:
• Our dedicated ice men and organizers
• The kitchen crew for a wonderful dinner
• RFNow and for the prize donations
• Everyone else who helped make the weekend run smoothly

We appreciate everyone who came out and helped make it another successful bonspiel!

The Mixed Glow Bonspiel is almost full, but we’ve still got room for a few more teams!

All ages, all skill levels welcome. If you can slide a rock (or just be the fun team mate), you’re in! Get your neon out, turn up the glow, and get ready for a weekend full of laughs, lights, and great curling.

What a great weekend at the Men’s Bonspiel! 🥌
Plenty of good curling, even better company, and more than a few laughs to go along with the late nights.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who make this weekend happen year after year. From the organizers keeping everything on track, to the lunch crew, the ladies who put together a fantastic dinner, the bartenders keeping spirits high, and everyone in between, we truly couldn’t do it without you.

And of course, a special shoutout to the guys on the tunes Saturday night. Thanks to them, “The Curling Song” has earned a permanent spot in the Argyle Curling Club songbook 🎶

• ⏱ First come, first served — limited to 20 teams
• 📧 Register by email: [email protected]
• ✅ You’ll receive a confirmation email if your team is accepted
• 💲 Entry fee: $180 per team
• 💸 E-transfer due by end of day Friday, January 9th to secure your spot

Get your teams ready for the long-awaited Mixed Glow Bonspiel on February 13–14!

✨ Registration opens January 12
✨ $200/team gets you 3, 4-end games, Saturday dinner, and a whole lot of laughs
✨ Prizes for best costumes and best curlers (style and skill matter, but you don’t have to be good at both!)

Spots fill up fast, so round up your crew and get ready for a weekend of fun!

Ladies! Get your teams organized for your favorite glow party of the year! 💃🏼🪩 Registration opens on January 5th for the Ladies 1-day Glow-spiel that is taking place on February 7, the registration process is a little different this year so here are all the details ⬇️

Registration opens on January 5th, and will be a first come first serve basis to the first 20 teams. To register your team please email [email protected] . Once you receive a confirmation email from us that you are registered, you will be required to e-transfer payment of $180 by the end of day on Friday, January 9th to hold your spot.

Get ready to dust off the brooms after the holidays, the annual Argyle Men’s Bonspiel is right around the corner! 🥌

Kick off the new year with a little friendly rivalry, a fan-favourite Calcutta, and a hearty dinner to keep you sweeping strong. The drinks will be cold, the laughs will be loud, and we’ve even lined up some fantastic live music to round out the weekend 🎶
