Come dance with us in the Highland Heart Studio! MacLeod School of Dance was started in 2010 by Jillian MacLeod. Based in Antigonish, Nova Scotia we offer Highland Dance lessons to beginner and advanced students, ages three to adult. Dancers are invited and encouraged to compete and perform as they choose, all over the maritime provinces and eventually beyond.

Although the results didn’t play out as hoped, Sam danced incredibly in a tough junior qualifier against the best 16-17 year old dancers in the world! He now has a taste for the world stage, and will come back stronger and knowing what to expect next year! We are all super proud of you and all of your accomplishments this year!!

🫟 Dance Camp 2026 🫟

Two full days of fun complete! Lots of fun with strength, flexibility, stamina, power and technique work! Picnics in the park, the splash pad and workouts at Columbus field. We worked on feet, turnout and presentation. Learned some new steps, fine tuned some general technique and enjoyed time with the best dance family ❤️✨

🫟 Primary Dance Camp 2026 🫟

Lots of fun today at our camp for some of our 4-6 year olds! We did obstacle courses, stretched, made dancer puppets and did a puppet show, worked on technique, had a relay race, jumped really high, balanced and of course danced! Red smiley faces when the day was done is a sign of success - see you in September! ❤️✨

Day 2 of 2 was also a massive success for our two dancers who were in Fredericton this weekend! The girls were super excited to split the high aggregate awards in their group for the two days of competition👊
