Before the school year wraps up, don't forget one more tradition: School Fair entries! 🌟⁠

🍎 Classroom entries are due June 26 so our judges can spend the summer admiring your students' creativity.⁠
⁠
✏️ Individual entries aren't due until September, which means summer break is the perfect time to tackle a project from the School Fair Prizebook. Whether you love art, crafts, photography, writing, or trying something new, there's a class for you.⁠
⁠
✨ Entry is FREE.⁠
💰 More than $3,500 in prize money is available.⁠
👩‍🏫 Teachers and students can submit classroom projects that are due next week, and families can enter individual entries for the fall.⁠

💜 While Marritt Hall isn't physically illuminated this year, we're joining the Lit Up for Lipedema campaign by turning our support purple in recognition of Lipedema Awareness Day.⁠
⁠
More than 85 landmarks across Canada will shine purple to raise awareness of lipedema, a chronic and often painful disease that affects as many as one in nine women and those assigned female at birth.⁠
⁠
Lipedema causes an abnormal buildup of fat tissue, most often in the legs and arms, and can lead to pain, swelling, heaviness, and reduced mobility. Despite how common it may be, many people living with lipedema are told their symptoms are simply the result of obesity, diet, or lifestyle choices.⁠
⁠
Awareness matters because understanding leads to recognition, compassion, and earlier diagnosis. Sometimes, simply learning that lipedema exists can help someone realize that what they've been experiencing has a name.⁠

Today, we stand in purple in support of everyone affected by lipedema. 💜⁠

For generations, the Ancaster Agricultural Society has been connecting people to agriculture, preserving rural traditions, and creating opportunities for our community to gather, learn, and grow.

We open our doors to weddings and celebrations, horse shows and agricultural events. We inspire curiosity through education programs and summer camps. We invest in tomorrow's leaders through scholarships and volunteer opportunities. We provide a place where neighbours become friends, traditions are passed down, and new memories are made.
