The Town of Amherst Water Utility will perform water main flushing starting Tuesday May 20, 2025 continuing for approximately five weeks.

During this time customers may experience turbidity (cloudy water) and low water pressure, and may need to run their cold water for 5-10 minutes or until it becomes clear. The Utility suggests you thoroughly flush your system following water main flushing to release any entrapped air or sediment from your system.

Changes are coming to how Solid Waste is collected!

Starting on November 4th, Miller Waste will be collecting all 3 streams on the same day, once every 2 weeks.

To ensure collection, materials must be placed in 3 separate piles.

A late welcome to October everyone..we do miss you all this year.. Chris here addressing you all from the boo crew. I'm looking forward to all the special events happening still in town as well as our surrounding great community of cumberland.. we can't wait to be back again with you all in the future. We plan on doing our basket this year as we have done in the past for the kids in town with one lucky little ghoul to take it all. We wanna make it fun so we will have some details to come very soon..it can't be halloween without the boo crew lol.Let make Esther Fest grow and grow and grow and make the community the place to be for all things spooky. Check out some other haunts close to home this year like Brine Farm’s Halloween Haunted Trail I been hearing amazingly haunting things. So much love to you all and we shall see you next year...but the butcher will see you the 31st.👻 👽 😱

Dear spooky Family. Due to circumstances beyond our control we will be unable to bring you our beloved haunted maze this year. We look forward to coming back in the future but for 2024 Haunt things have come to a "dead stop" 💀 ⚰🦇So much love to the community and town of amherst for showing the love and support you all have all these years. From one grave to another See you in the Future ❤

*UPDATE *
We would like to add, that with further discussion, we will be doing our raffle basket draw with all items donated by our Maze volunteers as well as local businesses.
We ask parents to take pictures of your kids in their costumes and share them to our FB page with your full name (so we can contact you via FB). We will put all the names in a “hat” and we will draw the winner a couple days after Halloween. We will contact the winner on where to collect their “basket of goodies”.

Again, thank you everyone for all the support over the last 7 seasons.

And the biggest thank you to all our creators and volunteers who have helped keep activities in Amherst.

So...Tonight we got to give our Donation to Relay For Life in Honor and Remembrance for everyone who may have lost someone to cancer or to a cancer survivor from everyone in our Haunted maze family. A couple of us also got some personal bags done for a few people who were and still with us extra special to our hearts. This means so much to so many of us. Along with this donation we were also able to donate to last years Christmas for Kids, Help jump start Rocky K9 journey into our community and also help a person in need within our community. THIS is why we love the Scare why we love the season and why we Appreciate each and every one of you that has helped and supported us along all these amazing years we have had. Stay tuned for Updates and stay scary.
