We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mya on successfully completing her Pre-Professional 3 Acrobatic Arts Exam Acrobatic Arts - the first student in Protégé Dance Company history to achieve this milestone!

What an extraordinary way to graduate from Protégé and close such a meaningful chapter. May this accomplishment always remind you that you are strong, capable and truly unstoppable!

Today, Mya heads off to university and begins an exciting new chapter filled with discovery, growth and endless possibilities. Spread your wings and fly, Mya—the world is waiting for you! 🪽✨

Welcome to the Team – Miss Amanda Giles!

🔥 We are thrilled to announce that Miss Amanda is joining the Protégé Dance Company Administrative Team!

🔥 Miss Amanda will be a warm and welcoming face at the front desk, assisting with accounts, answering emails and phone calls, and supporting our students, parents and faculty throughout the season!

✨ Please help us give Miss Amanda a warm welcome! We are so excited to have her join the Protégé family! ✨

Amanda is excited to join the Protégé Administrative Team, bringing with her a strong background in leadership, organization and working with children and families.

As a former competitive youth hockey coach, Amanda has always enjoyed working with children and making a positive impact in their lives. She holds a diploma in Sports Management from Durham College and thrives in customer-focused environments, where she can support students, parents and faculty while helping create a welcoming, organized and inclusive experience for everyone.

As one of the friendly faces you’ll see at the front desk, Amanda will assist families with their accounts, answer emails and phone calls, help with registrations and general studio inquiries, and provide day-to-day administrative support to both our families and faculty. She is eager to help wherever she can and looks forward to making every family feel welcomed, supported and comfortable when they walk through the doors at Protégé.

A proud mom of two amazing children, Amanda is no stranger to balancing busy schedules, work and family life. In her spare time, you’ll often find her enjoying a good book.

Welcome to the Team – Miss Leah Klemann!

🔥 We are thrilled to announce that Miss Leah is joining our Protégé Dance Company Faculty through our Teacher Mentorship Program!

🔥 Miss Leah will be teaching Creative Combo this season!

✨Please help me welcome Miss Leah! Let’s show her the love and energy that makes our Protégé community so special! ✨

Leah started dancing at Protégé at the age of 7, inspired by her sister’s dance recital. After her very first class, she discovered her passion for dance and was invited to join the competitive team the following year. Leah works hard to be well-rounded in many styles, including Acro, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Lyrical.

Currently a Grade 11 student at All Saints C.S.S. in the Regional Arts & Media Program for Dance, Leah also excels academically. She maintained high honour-roll status throughout Grades 9 and 10, demonstrating strong time-management skills and dedication to her studies. In Grade 8, she was awarded the prestigious E.J. Finan Award, recognizing outstanding academic achievement and effort, along with Christian fellowship among her classmates. She was also the recipient of the Mathematics Award, recognizing both her academic success in the subject and her ability to support and help others.

Leah has completed both her Pre-Professional 1 Acrobatic Arts exam and her Grade 6 Cecchetti Ballet exam with strong results and looks forward to taking her Pre-Professional 2 Acrobatic Arts exam and Intermediate Cecchetti Ballet exam in 2027. Outside of the studio, Leah has modelled for Jazzamatazz Costume Catalogue 2026 & 2027 collections. During the 2026 competitive season, she was thrilled to receive immediate placement with both 5 Star Dance Company and World Performers Canada, Inc. Additionally, she was awarded 3rd Overall Senior Solo at Dance Attack for her Acro solo.

Leah has been assisting at Protégé since the age of 11 and especially enjoys helping younger dancers develop their technique, confidence, and personal growth. Inspired by teammates who progressed into student-teaching roles, she has developed a genuine love for motivating others and helping them become stronger, more confident dancers.

This upcoming season, Leah is excited to take the next step in her teaching journey as the instructor of Protégé’s Creative Combo class. She looks forward to working with her young students, sharing her love of dance, and providing them with a safe, positive, and welcoming environment in which to learn and grow.

What an incredible week of hosting Acrobatic Arts Teacher Training Courses at Protégé! 💜✨

From M1 & M2 to Aerials & Back Handsprings, Back Tucks & Back Layouts, teachers from across Canada joined to learn, grow and further their education in safe, progressive Acro technique.

We were especially proud to have so many dancers participate as student demonstrators — including 14 of our very own Protégés! Watching them learn, demonstrate and be part of such an inspiring week was incredibly special.

The Course Conductors and their A-Team demonstrators were exceptional — knowledgeable, generous and inspiring from start to finish.

We are so proud to follow the Acrobatic Arts Inc curriculum and examination program at our studio — learning from experts in their field and following a progressive approach that ensures our dancers are developing safely, correctly and with strong foundations.

Our Acro Teachers; Miss Lexie, Miss Kelsea and Miss Christine are all Acrobatic Arts certified teachers.💜

Our Primary Division, designed especially for dancers ages 3–6, is about so much more than learning dance steps! 💜

Through movement, music and age-appropriate instruction, our littlest dancers have the opportunity to:

💜 MOVE — developing coordination, balance, strength & body awareness

🩷 GROW — building confidence, independence, focus & classroom skills

🧡 BELONG — making friends, expressing themselves & discovering the JOY of dance!
