It's Back! We will be Rockin' for a Reason at Peace in the Park 5! at Nose Creek Park Airdrie, on Saturday September 19th!

We will be Rockin' for a Reason with this year's headliner, Alan Frew. The event will also feature performances from Eden Taylor, Flaysher, RETRObution, and Concrete Countdown.

Peace in the Park is Thumbs Up’s annual community music festival held at Nose Creek Park in Airdrie as part of ‘Resiliency Awareness Month’ each September. The event supports Thumbs Up’s vision of a world where su***de is never the outcome by fostering connection, awareness, and promoting resilience through music and community engagement.

More than a music festival, this “Rockin’ for a Reason” event brings people together to celebrate and honor healers, helpers, and heroes—individuals and organizations that strengthen community well-being and make the world a kinder place.

Peace in the Park celebrates resilience and connection, featuring a full day of live music, health and wellness vendors, food trucks and so much more.

Finding the right help for mental health and addiction should not be the hardest part.

For someone struggling with mental health or addiction, finding care can feel lonely, confusing, and overwhelming especially when they or their family do not know where to turn. Too often, individuals and families are left to make sense of and navigate support on their own, retelling their story along the way.

For 10 years, The Thumbs Up Foundation has worked to change that.

Through our Harmonized Health approach, we help care work better together, with more connection, clarity, continuity, and compassion, so people have a trusted place to turn when it matters most.

Our 50/50 cash raffle is being held with our 5th Annual Peace in the Park “Rockin’ for a Reason” music festival, featuring headliner Glass Tiger, on September 19, 2026, at Nose Creek Park in Airdrie, Alberta, during Resiliency Awareness Month.

The raffle remains open through September, carrying the message of resiliency beyond the festival stage.

Headliner Announcement!!!

We are thrilled to announce our headliner for Peace in the Park 5! This year, we will be Rockin' for A Reason with Alan Frew!

Multi-platinum selling songwriter, Frew is also known for his work with Glass Tiger, which has garnered him five Juno Awards, a Grammy nomination and five Canadian Classic Awards in recognition of songs that have been played in excess of 100,000 times on Canadian Radio. Additionally, Frew co-wrote 'I Believe' (the theme song for CTV's coverage of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games) with Stephan Moccio,. He also co-wrote the title track from Johnny Reid's Juno-Nominated album "Fire it Up",which was coincidentally also recording by the legendary Joe Cocker.

Frew has toured with artists including Rod Stewart, Tina Turner and Fleetwood Mac, and performed for the Canadian Armed Forces and their allies in Bosnia, Israel, Egypt and Afghanistan. In light of his recent health scare, Alan is actively speaking out on the dangers of high cholesterol and hypertension in an effort to increase public knowledge and raise awareness of proper health practices in stroke prevention.

He is also a public speaker and author of the best-selling book 'The Action Sandwich-A Six Step Recipe to Success by Doing What You're Already Doing'.

We are so excited to announce that Eden Taylor will be joining us as we Rock For A Reason at Peace in the Park 5!

Eden Taylor is an award-winning Calgary-based singer-songwriter whose music blends cinematic pop, country, blues, and soul.

Recognized internationally with four Global Country Awards and a YYC Music Award nomination, she has performed more than 300 shows across Canada and the United States, including Nashville’s Bluebird Café and Calgary’s historic King Eddy, where she recently sold out her first headline concert.

An alumna of the Canadian Music Incubator’s AE West program and the National Music Centre’s Acoustic Guitar Project, Eden is building a reputation for powerful vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and captivating live performances while preparing to release new music in 2026.

We are so excited to start rolling out announcements for the artists who will be taking the stage at Peace In The Park 5!

FLAYSHER will be joining us in Rockin for a Reason at Nose Creek Park Sept 19th!

Based on the last name of two ‘loud and proud’ Albertan brothers, Brad and Ryan, Flaysher is a Canadian country-rock duo. With family roots running 6 generations deep into the Albertan prairies, Flaysher’s high-octane country-rock sound has positioned them as 8x CMAB nominees.

Flaysher surpassed 2 million global streams and built an audience of 324k listeners on Spotify. Their main stage performance at Country Thunder Alberta in 2023, preceding Tim McGraw, highlighted their ability to command large crowds. In 2024, they were featured in the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show at GMC Stadium, performing for crowds of 20,000 for ten nights in a row.

Their last single Second Wind hit #2 on Sirius XM’s Top of The Country channel in February of 2025. It was released with Megan Dawson (Country/Pop artist) and produced by CCMA award-nominated producer Dan Swinimer.
