Ignorant Minivan™ Stickers available now! Have you ever seen this face? The face of Christmas Joy. Spread well wishes and the spirit of Christmas throughout the year with this commemorative sticker! With this memorial you too can relive the time when Wes made a comic about that one time he got yelled at, at that one rally by some middle class Ignorant Minivan Driver! "Ignorant Lil' Christmas" Original comic by Me! 😆 No generative A.I here! Inspired by real events. On boxing day 2025 I was standing near Chinook Mall with a sign containing tips and suggestions to help boycott companies that support the Illegal Occupation of Palestine. A person across the street in a burgundy mini van rolled down their window at a red light, and yelled at me "You have no idea what you're talking about!" On the persons van were large Christmas light stickers. The irony in her words slapped me harder than any hand could. I do think it's important to not shame or discourage people from education, and asking questions. We grow through education and communication. We're also all coming from different backgrounds, what is obvious to some, will be completely alien to others. In general, contextually, there really are no stupid questions. To help remedy this, I have included some background information in the last slide.

I invite you all to continue diving deeper into the origins of Christmas and the common western traditions that are associated. Rather than reacting how Ignorant Minivan did, yelling uneducated bigoted statements the day after Christmas. Thanks for reading and viewing 🥰 -Wes

12 Days of Liberation! 12 Days of Education! Day 9 is watch a Palestine doc. If you haven't had a chance to check out the Louis Therouxs doc "The Settlers" I would put this near the top of your list. He goes within occupied Palestine, and the West Bank, talking with settlers and the indigenous for a SECOND time. In the photo I posted he's being told to leave the area by an IOF soldier(POS). The IOF and the Palestinian Authority make life unbearable for the indigenous, policing their every move utilizing borders, check points, camera surveillance, and advanced AI. Most of the time Theroux simply lets israelis speak and what they have to say is harrowing.

Welp. Things got kinda crazy there. 12 days of Liberation is technically over. But I'm still going to finish. For Day 8 Make Palestinian food, my husband and I made za'atar bread! Zaa'tar is the absolute best, and tastes good on anything and everything. Within occupied Palestine the indigenous peoples struggle to grow the necessary crops to make Zaa'tar due to being annexed from the land they once lived on. And being denied entry to their homes and places of agriculture, if they even still exist. I've seen footage of an elderly Palestinian trying to pick olives from his tree he helped cultivate since being a child, but being denied the by the IOF with threats of detention and even death.

Mayor Gondek spoke on red dress day saying “This day actually demands truth, demands accountability and it demands action. It requires that we stand here together, that we sit here together in the discomfort and the devastation of what has happened and what continues to happen,” she said. “Each red ribbon that we see here today represents a light . . . someone who is deeply loved, and someone whose absence has torn a hole through times. It’s someone who’s gone and leaves behind a family who is suffering. It is heartbreaking and shameful that we live in a society where days like this are still needed.” To say these words while supporting a genocide of an indigenous peoples is harrowing. 12 Days of Liberation! 12 Days of Education! Day 7 is Peace Demo! Been prepping for the Coming Out Monologues Market this weekend (Quick Plug for tickets or to volunteer!) Sorry Husam! I know this wasn't exactly what you were hoping for 😅 But my peaceful demo is my Canvas I painted. Ever since the Arms Embargo Report was released detailing Canadas Complicity in Genocide I've been incredibly disappointed in my city . At least 4 shipments left Calgary with their final destinations being Israel, during an Arms Embargo. This sign has hung in my window ever since. I added a giant QR code taped to the window as well linking to the report.

Genocide is black and white. You're either on the side of Genocide or not. Campaign for the correct side of history

I'm still behind...But Can't Stop Won't Stop! My belated day 4 of Liberation! Day 4 of Education! Post a photo at a rally. I've had the absolute pleasure of meeting some AMAZING people at these rallies. Genuine people who actually care and stick up for human rights.

Through my journeys, I've met a lot of people who say things like "I value open discussion, honesty, peoples rights, facts, education, compromise, growth" I've realized very few can actually back that up. And even fewer do. Education doesn't end when you leave school. It's a promise you need to make to yourself for the rest of your days.
